Insert your memory stick to your laptop, if your laptop has a memory stick slot or in the USB slot (if it is supported). If it doesn't have on you need a memory stick card reader. Insert your memory stick on a card reader then insert the card reader into the USB slot.

After that your laptop will prompt you and choose "view folder".

Now go to the folder where your pictures is located and choose the pictures you want to transfer and then right click on it and click "copy".

Go back to the folder of your memory stick, right click and then click "paste".

That should do it.

Thanks for using fixya!

Very easy task, This is step by step.
1. Consolidate the pictures you want to transfer to your memory stick(create a new folder on desktop)
2. Insert your memory stick( your memory stick must have enough space on it to hold the amount of pictures you have)
3. go to my computer and your memory stick should be listed in a few moments,
4. now that your laptop has recognized your mem stick. simply drag the folder from your desk top into your memory stick and wait for the transfer to complete.
Thats it!!

I have a dsc-w150 digital camera, no usb cord. how can i transfer my pictures to laptop?

You'll need a card reader to transfer the data to your PC.
These days most laptops and printer has built in card reader. But since Sony camera's use memory stick, some of them don't support memory stick. So,
  • First check whether or not your printer or laptop has memory stick support, if has then use it to transfer you images. Otherwise you've to purchase a memory card reader with memory stick read support[should be available on any nearby electronic shop].
  • Then remove your memory stick from your camera and connect it with your laptop.
  • Open the memory card and copy your images.

I have transfered some pictures from my memory stick but i have a problem with transferring pictures from the internal memory to my memory stick.

Please clarify: from where to where did you transfer and you wish to transfer? Are you using a USB cable from the camera to the computer? Do you mean the memory card that fits inside the camera?

If you mean transfer photos from the camera via the computer to a memory stick, then the problem may be solved in two steps: First download the photos to your computer. Then from the computer to the stick.

Have a new sony dsc-w120 cyber shot camera. first digital camera and have no clue. also have memory stick duo. can i transfer pictures directly from the camera to my mac computer using usb...

OK,
Camera has small inbuilt memory that can store few pictures. You can copy these photos in memory stick by inserting memory stick in camera, go to Menu >> Copy >> Yes.
Memory stick stores many photos depends on its size and let memory stick in camera, hook it with computer and transfer photos from memory card.
Thanks.

Transfering pictures from my memory card

Hi,
when you connect your camera to the PC.
look in My computer and find the drive ( camera ) probably shows as Drive F:/ G:/ H:/ I:/ or similar.
Right click and open, then copy to folder on desktop, named My-Pictures ( Or similar ) once you,ve copied your photos from memory card to desktop on PC. Format the memory-card. which will erase all data. ( Right Click Format )

This should solve your problem.

Memory transfer?

nope.works just fine in more than one machine. The 2nd computer WILL tell you on start up that memory configuration has changed, but you'll already know that.

go ahead and enjoy the memories(he..he)
