My whirlpool duet washer has stopped mid cycle and the time display is flashing --- the dispay panel is frozen and will not respond to any of the control buttons including end of cycle, control on, hold to...

Sounds like the timmer in the control module has frozen and will not advance. It's one module for the whole display. I sometimes tap the module with a plastic screwdriver witch may releace it but it will do it again. I sorry to say but it's time for a repair man. I do't have the writing space to tell the procedure (if it is the problem) - Sorry, not good news

Drier was working O.k . Timmer Stop working And so did the Heating. Does the Timmer control Temperature aswell.?

Yes, if the timer mech is damaged and, it will not rotate, this is cause the heating cycle to become inoperable. the time is responsible for initiating the heating command and the thermostat helps with the temp regulations. replacing the timer will restore the normal functions of your dryer.

Stuck on rinse cycle

Your water valve is bad or the cold side of the valve is stopped up with sediment. Clean the water valve inlets. If that does not correct the problem, replace the water valve.
