The backstitch level (reverse button) is broken on my Singer 3116 sewing machine. Where can I find a replacement part?

I emailed Singer and they provided me the following information. I did contact the service center in NJ (which is the closest one to me) and they do have the part for $2.95 plus $5.00 shipping. You can mail a check or pay over the phone with a credit card.

I just called the service center in Washington state. The part is $1.95 & shipping is $3.50. She suggested I order 2 reverse levers, since they're not very strong & strip out easily. Merry Christmas

I just added black electrical tape into the hole of the lever and pushed it back on. It seems to work so far.
