Have turned thermostat up but fridge not cold (10C). Freezer OK. Occasional lound banging noise from back of fridge freezer. Thermostat was changed about 2 years ago.
Machine is 15 years old. Any ideas?

The banging noise is ice growing in the freezer and over stretching the interior.
Manually defrost the freezer.
Then run the refrigerator again. If things appear normal again then the automatic defrost is not working. A technician can sort that out for you.
If the fridge still is not cooling then the freezer fan is probably broken as well. A technician can help you there
Unless there are 2 thermostats, one for freezer and one for refrig, it's not the thermostat if the freezer is ok. Sounds like the small fan that blows the cold air from freezer into refrig is not operating.
