Pleasure to see a fellow brown are we related ? :->

have you performed a test of each wire with a multi meter
to determine if each wire is indeed not broken ( open circuit )

if things check out ok with the multi meter , then it's time to start
digging deeper , such as asking yourself if you have indeed ENABLED the usb header at the bios level and has an IRQ that
does not conflict with other devices.

Also you'll want to make sure a driver is properly loaded for each
USB port , sometimes we forget to do all these things.

if all checks out after that , it's time to start getting suspicious
of the device being plugged in to the port , a dirty port can mean loss of connection , silly but so true.

if all checks out after that but still no luck , it's time to start asking yourself if you want to test things farther with extensive
checking of each USB port to make certan each port can read and write , this can be done with certan software.

if everything checks out at that point but still no luck ,
it's time to start asking yourself if you've made a boo boo
by loading an incorrect Operating system, ( rare )

I hope this information has been helpful , sometimes
we fail to get our trouble shooting ducks in a row.

shalom

Trying to connect the kinect

First off make sure you have at least 190 mb of space in your HDD before trying to set up your kinect.
Setup:
Step 1: Make sure your xbox 360 is properly connected to the television with the AV cables and power cable to an outlet.
Step 2: Place sensor under or on top of your television on a stable flat surface.
Step 3: Depending on your xbox the sensor has two different connections. If you have the new slim xbox 360 then you do not need the extra add on connection you simply connect it to a special port for it on the back of your xbox 360 slim. If it is a older version xbox then you will need the extra power adaptor since it will not work without it.(Cable with power connection)
Step 4; (ONLY FOR OLDER VERSION XBOX 360): If you have a wireless connection adaptor unplug it from the usb port in the back of the xbox 360 and connect the kinect sensor's power adaptor into the port you took the wireless connection adaptor off of. There should be a special cable that will act as an extension for the wireless connection adaptor you unplugged this is so you can connect it directly to the usb ports in the front of the xbox 360. Then plug the end with the power outlet connector of the kinect sensor power adaptor into the wall socket.
Step 5: Turn on the xbox 360 and the kinect sensor should move up and down to adjust.
Step 6: Put kinect game in and it will guide you through kinect settings and your on your way to start playing! Have Fun!

Hi! i am using Intel DG33FB motherboard, i need the information about the connectivity of front pannel audio. for this it is Realtek HD audio port. i am having 5 cables set for the front pannel...

The L&R-Ret2&3 are common so only one needs fitting so for the speakers you only need to connect 3 cables. R-Out, L-Out and one return (either L of R). I'll comment back shortly on the mic pins for you.

Cable has changed it's policy and standards many times in the past

if you have a cable modem you will most certanly need to decide
if you're going to be using the cat5 ethernet connection or the USB connection cable

if you have an onboard ethernet adaptor or a PCI ethernet adaptor
it's best if you use the cat5 connection of the cable modem

if you have no ethernet adaptor , you will need to use the USB connection of the cable modem
and connect that to your computer , which will most deffinately require that you have working
USB ports and at least service pack 2 loaded to enable USB 2.0 , and a driver from the cable
modems driver CD

if you're using a router , use the cat5 connection of the cable modem

( make sure you contact your ISP to walk you through the setup proceedures )

Can't connect psp component cables to tv

okay. here's what you need to remember as i encountered the same issue and had it resolved.

1. connect the psp tv out component cable to the tv. make sure you have every cable in their correct plug-ins.

2. on your tv remote, press output until your tv displays the correct output data info. it will display component 1 or component 2. make sure this aligned with where you connected your component cable.

3. turn on the on the psp, then press and hold the display button ( it is near the start and select buttons on your psp, with a box like icon. after 5 seconds, it will give you a gray screen with a box icon and an arrow which means you are transferring the data out from the psp to your tv display.

4. enjoy your psp on tv!
