Then might I suggest downloading the maps for New Zealand from the Navman site. I don't own a Navman but I do own a Garmin and that's how I expand my map coverage. Cheers.
have u gone to the Tomtom web site and registered the GPS yet? if not that is where u start, then just follow the instructions at the site for your map update, u will need a computer and the internet as well as a special USB cable to link the GPS to the computer for the download when prompted.
It could be the new map is not registered to work with your device.
Every tomtom device has a unique ID wich must be used to register the new map.
If you download the map from tomtom site with your device attached through TomTomHome it must works.
You have to check with the maker of the GPS to see if any new maps have been released, this info is avil at there suppor web site, if there are no maps then u must purchase them and download them to you computer, the average cost of this map package update software download is about $100
Try using a different website where you can download the maps for free. These should work. If they don't, you might need a software update from the same web site before getting more maps: www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=010-00401-20
