Hi i have just bought a samsung dvd-sr150m of ebay the problem is,i tried to put a to put a new tevion 4.7gb dvd rwto recorder a programme but a message came on the screen unable to record or play this disc put another new disc in and got the same message hope you can help thanks ron ps it is region 2

If you bought it in a country not in austria, there must be a feature in it that you can change the country code setting. Try to go to the menu or set up on the remote control or the buttons on the unit. Scan for the features using the arrows. If you find 'country code settings', change it to the country you prefer.

mine is the same, plays dvds, wont reconise any dvds to record, tried r, rw and ram..the biggest load of rubbish!
did you solve the problem?

First are you using the right kind of DVD recordable disc for your machine? For instance is it a + recorder and you are using - disc?
On the reception issue, can you see a good picture or does it break up sometimes. If it does break up it could make the recording stop. If you are using a digital TV signals, I suggest you get an aerial like below and hook it up with satellite co-axial cable.

I put the recorder channel on AV2 and then recorded it. It worked. Thank you anyway.

if it is a home recorded disc it may not have been finalised on the dvd recorder it was done on so it will not play on any other dvd player

we have a tdr 930 tevion dvd recorder...we have lost the remote so the thing wont work..we have tried a universal which worked on everything but the tevion dvd recorder....
