You can make the CD as the first boot device by going into the BIOS configuration and changing the CD as the first boot device and the hard disk as the second boot device.
After installing Windows, you can change the device boot up back to the hard disk but it is not necessary.

SOURCE: i my laptop cant boot windows 7 and xp together !

Hi,
Since you have installed XP after installing windows 7 & vista, you have erased the boot manager of vista. To get it back, just download & install Vista Boot Pro from http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enhancements/VistaBootPRO.shtml

Can't boot from CD

Make sure you have a bootable windows 7 dvd. You most likely have just the upgrade version or (a poorly pirated one.) Try installing the 64 version from the windows and see how it goes from there

In installing both windows xp and windows 7,how can i perform dual boot? i only have cd installer, can i perform the dual boot

When you install the first operating system, there's an option there to create partitions. Make sure to create two partitions each with sizes enough to meet the requirements of the operating system you would install on it. Then proceed with installing the first operating system on the first partition. After you install that, you can boot with the second operating system cd to install it on the second partition.

Hi,

Try to check if the windows 7 disc that you are using is not just an upgrade disc. Make sure that it is a bootable disc. Try to use other bootable disc to test. Also make sure that the boot device priority is set CD/DVD drive.

Hope this helps.
