Question about MSI PM8M-V Motherboard
My 320GB SATA's not working on the motherboard , how do i make it work?
I heard that i need a motherboard update , where and how do i get it ?
If i got the update , how can i install it ?
I've checked the SATA with the shopkeepers and it's working fine , however even with the harddisk connected , it doesn't detect it . They've already partitioned the harddisk so it works on theirs . When connected to mine , the MB does not detect but the harddisk is spinning and it produces heat . Pls help , i really want to make that 320gb worth
Keep in mind that all serial ATA SATA hard disk drives are seen in the main bios menu as a Primary Master drive. When you load the bios you should see the SATA 320GB drive in the main menu, Standard CMOS Features. If you do not than the onboard SATA controller is defective. This can not be repaired. Only a motherboard replacement will fix this issue. You can go to MSI's web site below & allow MSI to check you're system for the latest bios upgrade. Follow their online instructions & update you're bios file but this will not fix you're onboard SATA controller.
