If the microwave is more than 5 years old and cost less than $150.00 it is not worth fixing. Not familiar with your model.

Reset the clock. Press "Clock" and the correct time, using the number pads. Press "AM/PM" if applicable, and press "Start" or "Clock" to confirm.

2 Press "Timer On/Off" to reset the timer if nothing on the touch pad will operate. Use the number pads to select a new timed amount, if desired, and press "Timer On/Off" to start. Press again to cancel.

3 Press and hold "Clear/Off" for three seconds if the timer will not function or is blinking when you touch the pads. This will release the "Child Lock" feature. Make a new touch pad selection.

4 Disconnect power to the microwave if following Steps 1 through 3 does not resolve the blinking timer. Wait a few minutes, and then restore power to reset the microwave.

However if the problem persist the display board
main control board is faulty

If your model number is in the Sharp R-1500 series, then that's a problem with the bottom door switch or its mount.

You can go to www.applincepros.com and enter your model number and order the part you need, they also have a 800 number that costs you nothing to call and they have free shipping. You won't find the part in any local repair shops. Hope this helps you find what your looking for. Marry Xmas.

Therre is a timer that has to be replaced by a qualified technician, either A & E appliance repair or Sears Home Central. I had the same problem with that model Sharp. Good luck.

Hi! the problem you have mentioned indicates that your microwave magnetron is not working. check for busted fuses.

Unlocking child lock on the sharp microwave model R316FSC

The Sharp Microwave/Convection oven I have says to touch the Custom Help button, the number "1", then touch the Start Button. To turn off the child lock, press the Stop button.
Or just unplug it, wait 1 minute, and plug in.
