Wireless Switch on a NEC Versa. How to turn on?

I think you will find a WiFi switch somewhere around the edge of ya case, move it to the other direction, OR it is the Fn Function key, and perhaps a,little wifi signal printed on a key, press them at same time to turn it on.

My netgear usb connects to my wireless belkin..but no internet ?

this message comes when your computer is not getting the IP address from the router.
There are possible reasons for that.
1. DHCP on the router may be disabled.
2. If your network is secured , then you might not be typing the correct network key.

In both the cases , you will need to check the settings of the router.
You will need to access the router set up.

A connection with server cannot be established message I keep getting. I can see my router fine but cant connect.

This problem is because there is some misconfigurations that you might have done on the ip address part or either you have added a static ip address which is not getting along with either the DHCP address.

So just check that and try. or else remove it then put it back then try.

This is a pretty old laptop about 10 yrs. It does not come with wireless support. It probably has Windows 98 installed on it.
You might be able to set up wireless via the USB port.

I installed netgear adapter WG111v3 and I keep losing internet connection

I had the same problem and when checking the properties of the adapter under device Manager.

I found the under the Power Management Tab the option to

"Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" was turned on.

Remove the check mark from this option and click OK.
