Just installed a ZR24W monitor, screen blacks out after 10 minutes with a message saying 'Input signal out of range, change settings to 1920x1200-60hz'. The monitor was set to this resolution & the message keeps repeating. The cd disc has been run & driver installed. Unsure where to go from here.

Sounds like you have something overheating in the screen pull the back cover and blow it out.

Can you please get me the make and model of the monitor? Also did you check to see if the refresh rate of the monitor matches with that of the mac mini?

I did not see anything regarding to the Power locked out function, may be it's time to call HP. Please post back what you find out from HP.

Locking OSD settings
When the OSD is locked, settings cannot be changed in the OSD menu. The OSD functionality is enabled or disabled by pressing the Menu button and holding it for 10 seconds. Upon disabling the OSD, an OSD Lock-out message is displayed for 10 seconds. When the OSD is locked and an OSD menu button is pressed, the OSD Lock-out message is displayed for an additional 10 seconds. Special messages display on the monitor screen for the following monitor conditions:

• Input Signal Out of Range : Indicates the monitor does not support the input signal because the resolution and/or refresh rate are set higher than the monitor supports. Recommended refresh rates are as follows:
• For the w1858 monitor: 1366 x 768 @ 60 Hz.
• For the w2338h monitor: 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz.
• Monitor Going to Sleep : Indicates the screen display is entering a sleep mode.
• Check Video Cable : Indicates a video input cable is not properly connected to the computer or monitor.
• OSD Lock-out : When the OSD is locked, the warning message OSD Lock displays for 10 seconds.
• No Input Signal : Indicates the monitor is not receiving a video signal from the computer on the monitor video input connector. Check whether the computer or input signal source is off or in the power-save mode.
• Auto Adjustment in Progress : Indicates the auto-adjustment function is active and in process.

Did you mean "out of range". Try reloading video drivers. If that doesn't work, perhaps screen cannot use that resolution.

update ur driver

signal out of range suggests that your laptop is asleep..open the display settings, and disable those, until you get this resolved.

input signal out of range would normally indicate the the screen resoloution is either too high or too low for the monitor to display properly.

is this on just one game? which version of windows do you use?

I have been having the same problem with my hpvs17 monitor when i start to use my web browser on linux distros. Now, for the next few days i am going to try my system on a regular crt monitor. if the monitor does not crash, than i will have to say that the hpvs17 monitor has a defect.It seems that when i go online, while i am in the middle of searching something, the monitor just shuts off and i get "input signal out of range".
