MY ICE MAKER MAKES ICE BUT FREEZES UP AND TRHEN I CAN'T GET ICE OUT. I TRIED TO OPEN UP THE FREEZER COMPARTMENT BUT I CAN'T GET THE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPEN. HOW DO I GET THE ICE MAKER DOOR OPEN. I HAVE TURNED OFF THE FREG AND UNPLUGED IT BUT STILL COULDN'T GET THE DOOR OPEN. I AM GETTING READY TO SEND IT BACK.

Unplugged, Then allow 1 or up to 5 hour then open, if not get screw to open the compartment door. check all side of the compartment door. avoid so much full content to your ice maker refrigerator, and always give a free space to the compartment door.

Ice maker makes ice. Does not drop out of maker. Door does not appear to open and allow ice to drop. So ice gets ground smaller then freezes the opening.
You can replace the drop drawer just find a model number and look up a schematic then find the part number and order.

We have extremely hard water in the East Mountains of NM. Our refrigerator Ice Makers only lasted about a year before the Calcium from the underground Calcium just killed them. I solved the problem by buying, from ebay, a small restaurant ice-maker. I Always fill it with filtered water, and it has been chugging away for years. Our water tested Harder than an Hot-tub maker had ever seen, even after going through our old, Sears, water-filter. Ergo - how hard is your water? Could that be the problem. Just a thought.

I have a clear view ice maker and it fills fine and makes ice but it don't empty
Its issue with icemaker auger or dispenser assembly.Ice maker assembly has to be replaced.If any auger or auger motor is faulty.

Icemaker freezes up and deposits ice at the bottom of the compartment. My icemaker seems to freeze up and stop producing ice while dumping the water to the bottom of the freezer compartment where is...
The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze and can't go where it's supposed to. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.

My freezer compartment is making a loud vibrating noise. The ice maker is not working, the water freezes on the inlet ramp to the cube maker. What gives?
The vibration is usually an unballance, check the freezer fan blade for any broken pieces. The water freeze will cause the Ice maker to not work..if the fill valve for the ice maker leaks, even a small bit it will freeze up on that "inlet ramp" if so, replace the fill valve. Else, I've found a unit not used, left alone for a week or more.. that tube still freezes up...gets too cold?

Tube sometimes freezes because of minerals in it hold one droplet at a time until buildup freezes solid. Replace tube first. Water valve allowing some droplets through can also cause this. Tube first-less expensive.

Freezer and ice maker quit working / The temp.display on the door is just flashing .
There may be a fan that moves cold air in the freezer and icemaker compartment(s).  If the fan freezes up the cold air will not circulate.  Since the fridge compartment is still cold it does not sound like a compressor problem.
