Mine comes on displays a pix stored on the camera then go right off. Charged and new batteries did not help. It had been underwater and working before this happened. Otherwise it has been a great camera, til now

Here are the steps for the no power problem: 1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. Please use lithium batteries Ni-Mh or rechargeable Batteries (2000 M.Amp or higher). 2. Clean the battery contacts. a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth. b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera 3. Turn on your camera without the memory card. (If it works then it?s your memory card that is faulty)
Call Flip support, problems are happening to too many people, contact Flip support, if they cannot help, contact MacWorld or other online reviewers and let them know.
In any mode that the camera will stay on, press the "Menu" button and navigate to the RESET option and try to reset the camera. See if this will get the camera to function properly.
This is usually a low/bad battery problem. Remove the batteries from your camera and make sure the battery and camera contacts are clean. If using alkaline batteries, try a fresh set. If using rechargeable batteries, recharge them for several hours. If a recharge doesn't work, you may need a new battery set. eBay is a good source for reasonably priced replacement batteries.
I have the same problem with my camera and the following activities solved it. Remove batteries and clean contacts of battery's host (include cover). Check as well that contacts are not bended and didn't lost their springiness.
Good luck !
