My photosmart printer says ink system failed unable to printer.refer to printer documentation

Ink system failure is mostly caused by print heads. i do apologize but with issues like this, the best resolution is to replace the printer. it will only cost you buying new ink cartridges but it will not resolve the issue. :(

My Hp printer does not want to accept refilled ink cartridges

HP printers might work and might not work with refilled cartrdiges. You can use it but will create a problem in future and quality of printing will not be good. If still you wish to use refilled cartridge then please tell the name of the printer. If your printer hardware gets damaged because of using refilled cartridges then even if your printer is in warranty hp will not replace it.

The above link when input '5200' seems to come up with 2 solutions.

First, try to power it down and power it up to resolve the issue.
If that doesn't work, then try to replace the ink jet cartridges with genuine canon cartridges.
If that doesn't work, the electronic components may have burnt due to trying to print without ink, or other causes, such as using nonstandard cartridges, I have read.

One may have to send the printer in for service, but if not repairable, then a new printer would be the best thing to buy. Luckily, new printers don't cost that much and have faster speeds and image quality than their predecessors.

Good luck on resolving issues with this printer.

My Lexmark X5410 Printer will not recognize a refill cartridge.

Hi there

This is the same old story with Lexmark printers, you cant do any thing about it the chips have a small fuse inside them and soon as they emty it blows the fuse, and thats it so I beleave the only way is to buy new ink, or a diferent printer.
Not know any fix for them myself sorry.

Can try.
Turn printer off. Unplug power cord and other cables. Wait 30 seconds. Plug cords and cables back in.

Also seen this on the net.
Use clear tape over left hand row of sensors on front of cartridge and re-insert. ink now shows with question mark but reads as full and prints fine.

but yeah, best bet, never ever buy lexmark.....:)

If that doesn't work, try disabling your ink monitoring software.

I just got my ink cartridges refilled and when I put them in my computer says check ink UP051. Even when I took the ink out and tried restarting it, it gave me the same error message.

A number of printers simply will NOT work with "Refilled" ink cartridges. This is because some have a "Chip" inside them that will not allow this to be done. They want you to buy their ink.. and buy a new cartridge each time... SOME places that refill them are able to reset the chip. However "They" have us all by the "Goolies" and as much as you may hate it the best way is to buy a new recommended cartridges. Sux huh?

Cartridge error hp officejet j6480 generic cartridge

I own one of these printers and refill cartridges for a living. When you get this problem its best to return the cartridge for another, thats what I do for my customers.

When buying re-manufactured cartridges its best to buy from a local store and ask about there return policy before making your first purchase.

If you are buying from a reputable re-manufacturer then this will be a very rare problem. It happens with genuine HPs too.

BTW this printer uses HP 74 & 75 inks. when buying re-manufactured buy the HP 74xl which gives (according to HP) 750 printers compared to 200 from the HP74. Remanufactured HP75s are fill to HP75xl capacity.

Printer is stating incompatible ink cartridge. I am not able to print. Had this printer for about 1 yr.

printer will show this error message when the cartridges are not getting properly detected by your printer or there is another problem like if you are using refilled ink cartridges or if your printer is not working fine as because its hardware functionality is not working fine
so in order to check that which will be the reason try to clean the copper contacts of the cartridges first and then if that will not work then use a new set of ink cartridges and if those new cartridges will work fine then the previous cartridges are faulty and if that new cartridges will not work then the printer is not working fine so you must service ur printer

try these steps in order to resolve the issue..........

Ink cartridges

Its never recommended to use refurbished or local ink cartridges but you try removing the cello tape from the mouth of the cartridge. There are very low possibility of damaging the printer by using old cartridges.

HP 5510 acts like printing but no ink

see if you have tried cleaning the cartridges and you still face this issue try with diffrent cartridges and if again you still face this issue then its your printer that needs replacement, since i work for HP.

Tell ya what call in to hp at 1800-474-6836 and ask for an upgrade where you will get 50% atleast off on the upgraded printer and you will get a high end and also then you can extend your warranty for 3 years so if you face any hardware or software issues then your printer cost will be covered by hp and you will get a replacement printer free of cost if its a hardware issue and software assistance free of cost,Think about it and then call us up
