I have a uniden bc72xlt can i put in police frequideneny

Hi - this scanner will allow you to monitor any service (police, fire, EMS, Weather, Ham, FRS , GMRS, and lots more) that transmits an analog AM or FM signal in the 25-88Mhz, 108-174Mhz or 406-512Mhz range.

You will need to determine frequencies of the services of interest in your area and program them into the radio's memory. You can find frequencies in books sold online and places like Radio Shack. You will probably find a lot of frequencies by looking at Google results for them. Have a look at my link to the search results for "Boston, MA Scanner Frequencies" below:

http://preview.tinyurl.com/cgn5bzs

You should try typing your city, town or county over "Boston MA" and click search to get a list of frequencies in your area. You may also want to check out the Scanner Master website for additional help if you like.

Good luck!

  • In order to get some frequencies I need to know your location. State and Town or Zip Code and type of frequency ie. Police, EMS, etc. you are wanting.
  • Just respond with the requested information and I will come back with some scanner frequencies for you.

  • If you have any comments please feel free to leave them here.
  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

@cant seem to find south australian police frequences

If you can monitor other frequencies, chances are the south australian police are in radio silence, in other words they are not transmitting as of this time, no need to worry, your scanner is ok, just keep on scanning. Happy Monitoring ;-)

How to receive dispatch reception on uniden bc72xlt

Most dispatch communications in and around major metropolitan areas are now handled via trunked radio systems which your BC72XLT is not capable of monitoring. Some dispatch, especially fire and EMS, should be available to you, and possibly some police activity. For a comprehensive database of active frequencies and services in your area, visit:

www.RadioReference.com

How do i set this POS to raytown missouri police departmentzip code 64133

For an extensive database of active frequencies and systems in your area visit
www.RadioReference.com
or
www.CityFreq.com

If your local PD is using a trunked or digital system you will not be able to monitor them with the BC72XLT.

In case you need information on the programming itself, here's a link to the manual for your scanner:
