Alarm and hour beep

According to the directions: Press B - bottom left button,to go into Alarm Mode. Press D - upper right button - to activate the alarm and press again to activate the Chime, which shows on bottom left as a bell. To activate these press D. To DEACTIVATE them press D again. Press B 3 times to return to Time Telling Mode. It took a few tries, but D and B are the keys to stopping that annoying chime!

mcdevito75 here, The beeping may mean the battery is weak, even if the watch is new. Look for a small watch repair shop in your area.

I have an Arnette watch as well and have long lost its manual. The model of my watch is AR 2201. Before it didn't beep, but after my move (where the watch must have been bouncing around a lot), it started to on the hour, EVERY HOUR. It has been driving me crazy. Hopefully this will help you, though the answer comes so late. For my watch, I pressed the ST/STP and RESET buttons (which both happen to be on the right side of the face) simultaneously. The watch beeped when I did this and I saw the little bell icon disappear! Good luck with yours.

To turn hourly beep on/off: Hold the RESET button (lower right) and press the MODE button (lower left). When the days of the week light up, the hourly beep is on; when the days of the week are off, the hourly beep is off.

To turn the alarm on/off: Hold the RESET button and press ST/STP (upper right). Alarm light will go on/off.

Press and hold SET, then press START/STOP. This should turn the chime on. Press it again to turn on the alarm.

In TIME mode - not ALARM - top right hand button marked "START/LAP" toggles hourly beep on/off. As not in ALARM menu, easy to put on unintentionally.

Pull CROWN and turn to set HOUR and MINUTE hands. TIME AND DATE A. Press and hold SET. SECONDS digits will flash. B. Press SPLIT/RESET to set SECONDS to zero. C. Press MODE to select HOURS. D. in order to unset the military time on the watch you must hold down the two top buttons until the the 12 hour format comes back. in order to turn off the alarm you must hold down the two right buttons until they beep..and then the alarm will go off
