My sons power pack died leaving laptop with dead battery. small light flashing orange at the front .i bought a replacement power pack making sure it was for his model.plugged it in and nothing it wont power up i left it for an hour to see if it needed to build up charge but still nothing no charging battery light no power up noises it seems dead can you help

The solution to your problem lies in one of the following three areas:

1.) Your charger is faulty and is therefore not able to pass power to your laptops battery.

2.) The charging connector on the laptop has come loose from the contacts. Therefore a bad connection.

3.) Your battery is faulty.

I think possibility 2 is the most likely, although you will have to test possibility 3 by removing the battery and plugging in your charger and seeing if the laptop powers on.If it does power on then that rules out possibility 1 and 2 leaving a faulty battery.

If all the lights are flashing, it normally indicated dead batteries as instructions say and I found out. Pari would have you buy a new power pack or likely high repair price to replace 2 LI-ION cells . But, unless you are very handy with electonic items, you may have no choice. We bought a 2nd unit originally and when those batteries prematurely died, I reserched and installed my own.

It sounds like your battery is completely dead and will not charge. If your battery cannot charge, its time to get a new battery or a new PC. Wish I had better advice for you. Good luck!

Remove the battery and try it on AC only. A failed battery can keep it from powering on.

This sounds like a battery problem. The best way to test this is to remove the battery and then power the laptop up with just the power cord plugged in but no battery. If the computer boots then the battery is bad you will need a replacement. Also try letting the battery charge for a day. Be sure that the charging light is coming on when you have it plugged in.

It sounds like the motherboard has died. You will need to purchase a new one to make it fully working again.
