I bought a System 5 from US with 110 volt. How can I change it to 240 volts? Sydney. Australia

The best solution will be to buy a power converter 100V to 240V according to the power consumption of the device, that must be written on the device or in the technical guide. However, it's not more than 200W.

Hello, I searched around to see if there was any way to change the voltage into the speaker system, unfortunately there's no way to change it internally, so you have to buy a transformer from 240 volts @50 Hz to 110/115 volts @ 60Hz, plug the transformer to the outlet and from the transformer outlet to your speaker system. The rest of the connection settings are in your speaker system manual. You can get a transformer in any Radioshack store.

Check the transformer outlet matches the American standard.

Basically if it is not on the market then it is not 240 volts so if you are considering buying overseas then it is not advisable as it will be the wrong voltage and will fall short in meeting the strict regulations for electrical equipment

The fact that you live in the UK is key to this. The mains voltage in the UK is normally 220 - 240 volts and your system should be set to 240 volts. If you changed the voltage switch to 120 volts and then tried to use it, you will have connected circuitry within the box designed for 120 volts to 240 volts. This will have damaged some of the circuitry for sure.
Your best bet is to return the ac switch to 240 volts and hope that the 120 volt and 240 volt sets of circuitry are completely isolated from each other within the box, so that resetting the ac switch will allow the kit to work.
I strongly suspect that the kit will need to be professionally repaired, and will be useless until it is.

You need a Step Down Voltage Converter (also called a Voltage Transformer)
which steps down 240, 230, 220 volts to 110 volts and

No you cannot plug it directly into 240 volts, you will damage your speakers.

You need to get a step down transformer 240 volts down to 115 volts. These are available from Jaycar. Make sure you select a unit with a wattage equal to or greater to the wattage rquirements of the speaker system otherwise you will overload the transformer and it will fail.

USA mains equipment operate on 110 volts. Unless the AOC monitor can operate on multi voltages ie 110 to 240 volts, when you connect 110 voltage equipment into 240 volts mains in Australia you most likely will damage the AOC monitor.
To operate equipment that has been designed for 110 volts, you need to purchase a step down transformer from 240 to 110 volts that has suitable wattage rating for the AOC monitor.

I trust that your voltage system in your house is 240 volt. The number of wires or the size of the wiring will depend purely on the kilowatt rating of the oven. Normally on a 240 volt system a 3 wire 32 amp circuit will generally be used on ovens/ranges up to at least 6.0 kilowatt. If you need more information please reply.

Yes if this UNIT has the specified mains voltage set for 240 volts then it must work in Australia.
If you have to bring up the voltage from a 120 volt supply then USE a STEP-UP transformer with a conversion factor of 120 volts in the primary to a 240 volt in the secondary.

Music comes through great, but vocals are quiet (iMac) when I play music through the Companion 5 speakers, the music seems to drown out the vocals, I only hear them very quietly in the background, as if the singer is far from the mike....I've tried various iTunes equalizer settings, including "vocal booster" but nothing seems to bring the vocals into the foreground. This does not happen when using the internal speaker so it seems to be related to the Bose speakers. Can you please help?
