Power/standby must be off. Press and hold "Timer/CLK" for 2 seconds. Use the up/down buttons just to the left of the Timer/CLK button to select 24-hr or 12-hr mode, then cycle through hours, minutes. In each case u can use the up/down buttons to set the time.

Sony IFC-218 clock radio runs 8-9 minutes fast

Hold the 'Clock' button until the display flashes. It will first show the year, next press on 'Clock' with show the month, then the day, then the time. Use + and - to set your time and press 'Clock' again.

Don't expect this clock to set the time by itself. It is not an atomic clock.

Spacersaver Model 7-4285 the clock is changing the minutes in 45 to 50 seconds so in time it will be hours ahead were it should be. How do I fix it to change the minute in 60 second rather than 45...

It's not clear how 'digital' the clock really is sincet hey don't really post the minutae about these things. Could just be the display. If you put your ear against it and hear a hum, there's a motor. As long as the line voltage is +-10% most electronics will do just fine. Line frequency only affects AC motors. That it has a frequency spec is telling. If the motor was DC they'd get away with 50-60hz.

Two clocks are set at 6am one clock gains 30 seconds every hour and the second clock loses 1 minute every hour. at what time will the faster clock be 30 minutes ahead of the second clock

Compute the difference in clock-speeds, namely 90 seconds per hour.
Convert the units of time: 30 minutes becomes 180 seconds.
So, divide 180 by 90 to get '2', namely 2 hours after the 6 o'clock "start" time, which makes it 8 PM.

P.S. There is at least one error in the above solution. If you truly understand the solution, make the necessary correction, and submit the corrected "homework" to your teacher.

Sony radio/cd/clock under the cabinet. Lost

On the right side there is a push button switch labeled "Clock". It is springloaded so you have to push it in and hold it for a couple of seconds until the unit beeps and the hour position starts to blink. The volumn up and down buttons will control the changing of the numbers up and down and PM/AM. Pushing the clock button again will change the clock to the minutes position and you cann adjust the numbers up or down just like the hours. Push it one more time will lock-in the new time. Your done.

Brookstone smart set alarm clock. It is about 20minutes ahead

I've noticed that manually setting the clock forward or back by any number of minutes, results in the same time offset being displayed after unplugging - plugging back in. So, if it's 9pm and you set if 5 minutes fast (9:05pm). Then unplug it and plug it back in 30 minutes later (9:30pm), the clock will maintain your setting of 5 minutes ahead of the actual time (9:35).

I like to set my clocks 5 minutes fast, just to make me always think I'm running a bit late (sure, maybe I'm a bit crazy). But this "sticky" manual setting is kind of a nice feature in my opinion. I'm wondering if it's not intentional?

Anyway, just manually set it back to the real time, and it sho

Clock gains 5 minutes or more time over 30-45 days

Could be low-grade electronic components used, less than 1% tolerance values, or the crystal time-base, a precise clock-pulse generator, needs calibration.
Recommend to get it checked by electronics wizard.
