Bamix M122 circuit diagram required - Microwave Ovens

  • daveorr May 25, 2011

    Hardly expert assistance

  • daveorr May 25, 2011

Guru, thanks for trying hard, but a reference to another site and have to pay again for the information required does not seem to live up to the "manuals and expert advice" (and even better service if you pay more, which I did) advertised on the "FixYa' site.
Maybe I expected too much. Dave

Unfortunately, these units' schematics are not available on the web, from my searches. You will have to contact Bamix to try to get a schematic for the unit, or go to the trouble of re-engineering the diagram, which is a most difficult task. Refer to your manual that came with the unit to find contact information for them. Sometimes they have them, but sometimes they don't supply them, and other times they will charge for them. Too many products these days are made to be "throwaways", and therefore not supported.
Good luck, and hope this helps.

Hi,

Sorry, but Bamix M122 circuit diagram is not available right now. In that case if you have your manual, you can check that.

Replacing underneath lights

If the owner's manual does not address it, then some disassembly may be required.

You didn't mention your model number or even your brand, but since you posted it under Whirlpool, maybe it's a Whirlpool.

You can download Whirlpool owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

Always be sure to unplug the oven or turn off its breaker before removing or installing the bulbs.

Failure to do so may result in damage that could require circuit board repair.

Microwave wont start shows door on display

When it shows a door error and won't start, that's usually a door switch or door switch mount. My help file on door switches is here.

BUT - assuming your model is the KEMS308SSS01,02,03,04, or 05, it is probably the type that has the overdesigned door sensor circuit, as shown in the diagram below:

12_27_2012_8_49_05_pm.jpg

In this case, the other likely culprits (besides the door switch) are the 20A fuse, the 15A fuse, the "cavity TOD ("thermal overload device" - thermal cutout / thermostat) and the magnetron TOD.

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

It also contains the diagram above.

There's a YouTube video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes. mini_manual_behind_grille_small.jpgdee77f7.jpg

Accessing the oven cavity TOD for testing and possible replacement will require you to remove the oven from the wall.

If so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

How can I get a bamix manual, I have a bamix but have lost the manual that came with it

Most major manufacturers supply manuals online so if you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, you may be pleasantly surprised as usually, if available, one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, Dealer Network for spare part supplies as required.

The information is normally free of charge.

I hope this helps.

Blowing main breaker

I have a hard time believing that the home's main breaker is tripping instead of the branch circuit breaker that feeds the microwave. I suspect it is really just a difference in terms. You should disconnect it and try using in another outlet - preferably one on a different circuit if possible. If the breaker continues to trip; this appliance should be disconnected and either be discarded, repaired or replaced before using again.

If the microwave works as expected (on a different circuit), it may indicate the original circuit is overloaded. Microwave overs are supposed to be installed on a dedicated circuit. This means only one outlet is on the circuit - no other loads (lights, appliances, etc.) are permitted on this circuit. A microwave typically requires 10 Amps or more when on "high" and will require a significant portion of the power supplied by a 15 or 20 amp circuit breaker. There is little unused to power much of anything else. If other appliances go out when the microwave trips the circuit breaker, you should contact an electrician to have a dedicated outlet installed for the microwave.

I hope this helps!

Short circuited, can't find the manual.

Try the web and type www.partselect.com or www.applianceaid.com and enter your model number then scroll down to your part. Click to enlarge and you will be able to view the entire diagram for exact assembly. I'm not sure about where to find the specialty screw driver. A small pair of needle nose plyers might be able to grip the sides of the screws. If you found any of these suggestions helpful, please rate my solution. D. Lange

Oven does not operate

I assume that model is JVM1653WH05?

The fire probably opened the internal flame senor, also known as the oven cavity thermal cutout (TCO) located on top of the cavity.

The TCO part number is WB27X10195 and it's available here.

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

GE Microwave

I repair GE circuit boards, but the problem is not your circuit board.

This is due to a defective or loose magnetron causing electrical interference and disruption in the control circuit board.

If your magnetron was recently replaced, it may have loose mounting nuts or bolts or maybe the wire mesh RF gasket was not installed or got pinched.

It may also need a new high-voltage diode and stirrer, and the cavity may be affected.

Details are in their bulletin here. Even if your model is not on the list, the same problem can occur, requiring a kit. The parts kit is similar to this one.

(Your model may use a different kit - this is shown for illustration purposes only).

If you or someone you know decide to look into it, we have critical information on safety, disassembly and door switches at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa.

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.
