Hello, most window air conditioners evaporate the condensate by the fan picking up the condensate and splashing the condenser, since the condenser is hot it will evaporate the water as soon as in comes in contact with the condenser.

Where is the drain pipe on my a/c? Ruud #UBHC-21J11SFC. Do I have to take something apart? The pan under unit fills up and overflows. It is leaking through the ceiling under the unit. I am a woman. ...

The drain or drain piping (usually PVC piping) is under or on the edge of the drain pan, under the unit. It has to exit outside some where. Either down thru the wall into the crawl space and out thru the foundation wall. Or thru the attic to a gutter outside on the edge of the soffett. Look for white PVC piping outside the house where I indicated. Then you can use a garden hose and high pressure to unclog it from at it's termination point, by back flushing it.

Hope this helps you. Please let me know. Thanks

Drainage problem-water is coming out of the air vent inspite of the drainage pipe

The drain pipe may have come loose or it is clogged. I bet on it being clogged. They are not difficult to unclog, using something like a flexible Zip Tie about 18" - 20" long and small enough to fit into the drain tubing. It will help to **** out the clog.

Hope this helped you solve the problem.

Remove drain pipe from water pan. You can usually turn it counter clockwise. When drained, clean with fresh water and replace pipe buy placing pipe dope or teflon tape to avoid leaking.

Looking for a drain pipe

Hi Jay, most Panasonic units have slinger up and don't require the drain assembly. Your best bet would be to buy a cheap unit off of ebay or the part off of ebay and install it on yours.

Daikin air conditioner leakin water at a fast rate

You should have access to the condensate drain from the outside. You can use compressed air to unclog the unit. If you can, try accessing the drain from the source outward but be careful, you can blow debris everywhere. Make sure you have something to catch it so it doesn't spray everywhere. If you don't have access to compressed air, you can use a small plumbing snake to work you way up the pipe. Hope this answers your question.

Working right and in a safe manner?

The condensation has to be going somewhere if not out the drain tube, if unit is working correctly, just hope it's not running down inside your window frame and rotting something. Keep looking, I would.

Split System Air conditioner

There normally two types of leakages from the wall unit.
1.The warm air in the room when comes in contact with the cooling coil of heat exchanger (consisting of fine fins where compressed refrigerant evaporates) looses its heat & cannot retain the same moisture content at lower temperature at the point of contact with evaporator. There is a provision of a drain pipe to carry this condensed water to outside water drain. So if the drain pipe is choked or the coupling joint of the drain pipe at the bottom of cooling coil is not proper, there will be water leakage, This can be easily attended by physically looking at the fittings.
2.The second problem can be the leakage of the refrigerant. If there is second type of problem, then there will be very little or no cooling irrespective of continuous running of air conditioner. This can be easily checked by feeling the temperature of outlet air from the air conditioner.

Conclusion-As you have written that there is leakage from the air conditioner, but you have not written whether it is visible or invisible. If the leakage is visible, it is problem number 1 & if it is invisible, it is problem number 2.

If you are not satisfied you are free to ask for more explanations.
