Need a Copy of Magellan Roadmate Manager Software

HELP - I bought a used Roadmate 300 and the CDs were missing. I contacted Magellan and they told me they were out of stock and they didn't think they were getting any more. SO basically at this point I have a GPS with US base maps only and no detailed street maps. I do not know where the manual is and I am not getting update notices. I need to notify magellan of a new e mail address. What can I do. Reg

SOURCE: GPS Magellan RoadMate 360 no sound

I copied the .cfg file (1 kb) from a working 360 onto my pc and then uploaded it to the "silent" one. I double checked that all other files were present. It solved the problem. Just make sure your sd card is out when you plug it into your pc so the pc reads the roadmate's internal information - not the sd card.

Press the button to turn it off but hold it for about 10 seconds. Let go and then press it to turn it on. This resets it.

Magellan roadmate 300 speaker stopped working

Help me please
I had the same problem caused by reformatting the internal memory and this is what I did which worked for me:

Make sure you remove any SD memory cards before trying this fix.

First: find the base maps (NA_BSMAP.mgi and NA_BSMAP.nlt)maps which are located in your computer in the Magellan Roadmate Manager (C:\ProgramFiles\Magellan\Magellan RoadMate Manager NA\Map\Basemaps)

Second: Connect your Roadmate with the USB cable to your computer.

Third: Plug in USB and power up your GPS. Cut and paste the two files mentioned above to your GPS (Devices with Removable Storage (example E:/). They are approximately 25 MB in size and will take a few minutes to copy.

Fourth: Unplug the USB cable and shut power off to the GPS.

Fifth: Power up the GPS and it should find the "base maps".

I posted yesterday as a guest with the same problem and then I contacted Magellan by email from thier site...this is thier disappointing response...It took less than 24 hours though.

I understand your mail that you are unable to download or install the
software.

We apologies to inform that NO software in Magellan support MAC
Computers/Windows Vista.

I am sorry to inform you that all Magellan units are only compatible with
Windows 2000 and Windows XP.(Household and Professional) Currently we dont
have any drivers for Windows Vista. I request you to try with a different
computer.

I am confident that the above information would help you in resolving the
issue. If you have further queries, please get back to us.

assistance.

My new Magellan Roadmate 300
You have to have the two cds that come with the unit to download onto your computer. If you can find these then there is a sd slot on the bottom of the unit covered by a small rubber cap .The sd cards must be the ones that will work on a magallen .You can go to magallens internet site and get a list of the ones that will work.

No maps found!!
Hi - I have the same model GPS but I've been unable to locate a copy of the CDs and I'd love to get a copy of them - would that be possible? My email address is [email protected].

As far as re-installing he maps, here's what I've found. I think this might help:
Locate the files that are loaded on the computer.Magellan Roadmate Manager example: C:\Program Files\Magellan\Magellan RoadMate Manager NA\Map\Basemaps
Copy all files. Make sure your Roadmate is connected and click on Example E:/Removable Disk and paste them with other files. It takes a few seconds to 1 minute to transfer the 25.5 mb file so don't unplug it until it is finished.

Language on Magellan Roadmate 300
You'll have to obtain a copy of the Magellan Roadmate manager disks, load them into your computer, connect the GPS to your computer using the USB cable and the use the "Roadmate Manger settings" to change the language.
