I haven't played in a couple of months and when I put a disc in nothing came up. #1 green light came on, but that's it. I tried switching back and forth from T.V to HDTV, but that didn't work either. I then unplugged it, for about 1 month, plugged it back in and it worked, but the video quality was poor. I put it on HDTV setting, yes I have HDTV, and now I am back where I started. Nothing works, again.

Could be anyone of a number of things related to internal batteries. Let it charge for a while (does the charging light come on on the laptop? - isn't clear if the green light is on the powersupply or the laptop itself) and trying again.
I found you because 10 minutes ago, my camera exhibited the same behavior as all yours. All of a sudden, the red and green lights started blinking on and off and nothing worked. I just tried switching batteries and the camera is working! I am using a couple of RCR-V3 Li-ion rechargeable batteries, which I purchased on Ebay three months ago. Thought I'd pass it on.
I had the same problem, After googling for a few minutes I found the reset procedure for this player.
1. Turn it on. 2. Eject any disk you have in there and close the tray. 3. Hold down the "STOP" button on the player (not remote) until the green light flashes red and the system reboots. 4. Insert disk and enjoy.
