check the controller for possible cable lost or pin damage. If all the said items be check is good...you may possibly download the wrong driver specification...
Download again and see the compatible version of the driver...then proceed

This is an AC 97 Audio driver. works with most motherboards. including Intel 82801eb ich5 97 audio.

You can find the audio driver for your onboard sound HERE.

Sometimes Intel boards are a bit "stubborn" in accepting sound drivers sometimes, so you might have to manually install the driver by way of the device manager. Hopefully the latter will not happen. if it does, feel free to contact me here on "FixYa" and I'll do my best to guide you through it.
