Having problems with the printhead on my printer lexmark s405 how do i fix the problem it wont respond to anything

Try to reseat the printhead. Open the cover of the printer > remove the printhead. If the printhead will not go to the center, unplug the printer from the power outlet to turn it off, pull the printhead to the center. Then remove the printhead. Close the cover. Replug the printer to the power source after at least 10 seconds. Re-insert the printhead when prompted.
If problem continues, updating the firmware for your printer will help fix the issue. Turn off the printer and remove the printhead from the printer again. Close the cover. Replug to the power source after 10 seconds. It will then ask you to "Open Cover to Install the Printhead". Press the Cancel (Red X) button. It should take you back to the "Copy" menu. Proceed with the firmware update. Just go to http://bit.ly/s405fw to download and install the update. Once the update is done, reinsert the printhead by following the prompt on the screen of your printer.

Lexmark Interpret S405 will not print color

First, make sure that you're using genuine Lexmark cartridges. If not, replace the color cartridges.

Second, try updating the firmware of your printer. Just go to http://bit.ly/ghfW8H to download the firmware update.

Third, perform a maintenance on the cartridges. To do that, on the control panel of your printer, press on Setup > Maintenance > Deep Clean Printhead.

If the steps above doesn't help and you're using genuine Lexmark cartridges and provided that your printer is still under warranty, please contact our technical support team to have the printhead replaced.

If not, you can go to www.lexmark.com to purchase a printhead.

Mt printer reads I have trouble with my printhead

There is a firmware update for the Lexmark Interpret S405 printer that addresses printhead issues. Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark S400 Series Firmware Update. If more than one download is listed for your model, choose the first download in the list. If it is the wrong firmware level, an error message will tell you which firmware level is correct. Please indicate if the update failed or successful.

Make sure that your printer's firmware is up-to-date. The firmware update for the Lexmark Interpret S405 printer addresses print quality issues. After updating your printer, please run the Deep Clean Printhead one time. From the printer operator panel, press the Setup button > Maintenance > Deep Clean Printhead. Your printer will then print a page forcing ink through the cartridge nozzles and clean them.

I just changed out my ink cartledge and it still shows my black ink is low

It could be a slight communication problem between the black cartridge and the printhead. Try to remove the black cartridge from the printhead. Close the printer cover. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reinsert the black cartridge. Check for any errors.

I have changed the ink cartridges and I get an error for each cartridge saying interference with ink cartridge communication on lexmark S405

The ink carriage will not respond, after I insatalled it.

Try to remove the printhead from printer. Close the cover. Unplug and replug the printer into the power source. When the printer turns on and looks for the printhead, reinsert it and follow the instructions on the printer screen.

LEXMARK 405 COMPUTER SAYS PRINT HEAD PROBLEM AFTER HALF THE JOB WAS COMPLETED . PRINTER ONLY 2 WEEKS OLD

Sound like printhead problem... ask from lexmark for replace (call them +1 800-539-6275). If they refuse to give you, than search on amazon for it... here Amazon com LEXMARK 405 printhead. I hope this was helpful. Cheers
