Try swapping out the touch screens. It may be that they used different makes of touch screen in these models, and the board and screen are matched. This is the case with many laptop manufacturers. They use different screens in the same models, a cheapest bidder type thing I believe, so, if you switch boards, you have to switch screens or video cards in order to get them to work. Speaking of video cards, does this board have a removable video card or integrated. If it's removable, then you might swap them out if the screen change doesn't work. Try this and let me know.

Brake light failure

Bad circuit board tail light asseblise connector pin to board poor connection or burned push in light bulb sockets
On my '93 Chevy PU the new ones went bad within months I repaired the original ones by soldering all connector pins to the board cleaned the sockets chipping out melted plastic been working for five years now.
Care must be taken to keep solder from preventing wire connector install while using enough that plugging it in will not break these delicate unions.
Required pulling them several times to Finnish repair successfully.
Very disappointed in replacement parts.

How to replace the switch on a delta shopmaster

Sorry I can't give you a definite answer but most power tools of this type have long been fitted with a safety switch which tends to be much bigger than it appears from the outside of the casing requiring the switch to be removed from the inside. If your new switch is identical to the original close examination should provide a few clues to the removal procedure.

Domestic and semi-professional semi-portable machinery is often of a generic far-eastern manufacture and such spare parts as are available for this type of machine tend to be generic parts and the design changes over time so the new switch might not be identical to the original so some adaption might be needed to fit the new switch.

Older and/or heavier type shop machines often have a switch that is also a motor starting switch. This type of switch generally contains a thermal breaker to protect the motor and must be adjusted to suit the motor current before fitting. This type of switch is considerably larger than the previous type.

Old semi-portable type machines do not usually have a safety switch but fitting one would be a very sensible upgrade.

Servicing and cleaning my sewing machine

Hello Hazel
The Memory Craft 9000 is a computerized sewing machine. In removing the casing precautions must be taken to prevent damage to the electronic boards which are costly to replace. As a result it is recommended by the manufacturer (Janome) that this work be performed only by qualified technicians with the required equipment to prevent any damage.
What is the reason for requiring the casing to be removed?

Hallo, is there a link for an online guide that shows me how to replace the battery of my iriver140? It wount charge, as it only gets warm! Thanks!

Hi, 1) Make sure the player is switched off and the hold switch is on.

2) Remove the screw from each side cover.

3) Remove the 4 screws from each end cap and then remove end caps.

4) The rear cover and side covers can now be removed and the battery removed from the rear cover.
Note: The battery will most likely to be stuck to the rear cover and care should be taken not to put excessive force onto the battery wires when removing the cover. The internal microphone is mounted on one of the side covers and care should also be taken with it so as not to damage the wires.

5) The hard drive can now be removed by lifting and gently pulling it out.

6) Remove the six screws holding the mother board to the front cover. the circuit board may now be removed.
It is a good idea to take note of the routing of the battery wires before removing the mother board.

7) Disconnect the molex plug from the board , this is made easier by lifting the rear of the plug as you remove it.

8) check the polarity of the new battery is the same as the original (they are rarely wrong and need changing).
If it requires changing the terminals can be released by lifting the tags as shown here in the h3xx battery replacement thread.

9) Reassembly is the reverse of disassembly taking note of the following:
a) Check the battery wires are correctly routed to avoid pinching and damage.
b) Check the hold switch slide is aligned with the switch when refitting the side cover.

Have a nice day......

My sony vgn bx41 has developed a fault that only occurs when the memory is installed. It won't start. If I take the memory out the machine boots up as normal, I have tried memory from an identical machine...

Either one of the memory chips is bad / that will prevent device from booting. OR a memory slot is no good and when you plug something into it, the unit will not function.

Damaged circuit board below the switch

Most likely not, but a camera shop may be able to as a reseller. I have found that camera makers do not sell repair parts to Joe Public. Must go through a repair shop that has a resale license.

Not recognising ink cartridges

hmm, if my first hint wont work, try this: Do use original carts! Thirdparty ones have an other construction and wont work sometimes. If you dont have success do this: Open printer: http://www.hstt.net/refill-faq/inside.html#Brother_mfc215c Check the position of the inkcart circuit board. It might be loose. In some case you might need a new cart assy.
