I have a Gaggia titanium machine. When the machine is taken off energy saving the machine usually heats up before it is ready. It is not doing this any more and as such it is pouring cold water through the coffee. I can leave the machine on for a period of time but it doesnt seem to be heating the water. The steamer works fine though. Any suggestions?

Hold down the descale button for 5 seconds its the double ellipse, that should put it in a clean cycle. It is possible that it needs cleaning and it locked up because it was not getting cleaned.
If the machine is new ensure that the machine is ready to brew , and that you are following the procedure correctly.
If the machine is used, this often happens because the heating element and thermostat in water tank are covered with scale, and that prevents proper heating.
Try buying a descaler, and performing a descaling procedure a couple of times.
If that does not work , warm water is usually caused by a defective thermostat.
Let the unit complete it's self test mode. When "select product ready for use" is displayed then you press the menu button to access the menu function.
