SOURCE: water dripping from inside top to bottom of cooler

Coolers like yours create a lot of condensate. Every time the door is opened warm moist air enters and changes back to a liquid state on the evaporator coils behind the fan and area you see moisture dripping down from top and back wall should be going down a drain pipe to the bottom of cooler and into a pan where a fan blows warm air over the condensate/water returning it back into the store or business that the cooler is located. Looking inside there shoud be a tray or pan that is at the base of the evaporator. True uses different parts but you need to see why the water is leaking from. If cracked tray or line blockage causing overflow into the cooler. Click Here=> Leaking Refrigerators and then again here=> Leaking Refrigerators! This will help you get a better idea of what I am talking about, if helpful please rate. True MFG. does not share their information to me. I would need to be their registered customer to get answers. Click Here=> E-mail True Technicians I also think if you have questions for them they ask for your model number as a reference. They Will answer you just need that number along with GDM-72-RC I will be here if you have questions, Thank You, Sea Breeze

Dripping water

Mine had the same problem today. I found the drip tray under the screwed on panels in the freezer was full.
There is an evaporative tray above the compressor in back, and feeding that was a drain pipe that was blocked with crud. Removing and cleaning the cap made it flow freely again. Hopefully that fixes it.

Water dripping in refrigerator from ice forming in top rear of refrigerator. Ice has formed below what we think is the automatic defroster and is dripping water into the the main part of the refrigerator....

You have a drain clogged at the bottom of the evaporator inside freezer compartment. You'll need to remove all contents put towel inside, turn off, pull out to access back of fridge, pull drain line off or check at bottom in pan where it normally drains, you can melt ice at top of tube with hot water, hence the towells. this is a messy job usually takes about a good hour to get it right, just perservere. I will fix it, when you get it cleared. I have employed a coat hanger to speed things along as a tech it is the call I dread because of the mess.

Water dripping from freezer onto top shelf of fridge with ice buildup back of freezer

the defroster isn't close enough to the drain to be effective. remove the back wall of the inside of the freezer, remove the excess ice. clear out the ice from the drain using hot water and a turkey baster. there is a kit from whirlpool that uses a piece of metal and a screw around the defrost rod, but I found out that a piece of 14 gauge solid core wire with the insulation stripped off works great too. stick the stripped wire into the drain, 2 to 3 inches, and wrap the rest around the defrost rod.

WATER DRIPS DOWN FROM INSIDE TOP REFRIGERATOR BELOW FREEZER

Not an original solution - but a good one. Remove panels at the back of the freezer compartment to expose the heater unit or heater wire that defrosts the freezer coils and wrap a solid copper wire gently around the heater/ heater wire and place the loose end in the drain. This will conduct heat to the freezer drain and help keep it open. I did see a manufactured part in one of the appliance parts websites but it did not match my unit.

Water is dripping inside the refrigerator from one of the holes in the top in the area back from the light

The drain is plugged and in defrost the water has to go somewhere. Try to blow out the drain with air. Or you might have to remove the evaporator cover to get hot water down the drain. First try to clear the line.

Freezer is dripping water into the fridge

If your refrigerator has a ice maker or not I think the drain is clogged for the defrost water. We may need to unplug and look behind the freeze back wall to see what is happening. If you would please see if you can find the model number so I can help you better, Thanks Sea Breeze

Our Whirlpool top freezer unit is leaking water into the refrigerator. The model number is ET21NKXGW01 and at the top of the inside of the fridge, water is draining out into the fridge. The defrosting...

We were able to fix the freezer water leak. We unscrewed the false freezer floor and the inside back panel. Ice had accumulated on the freezer floor and the defrosting drain was frozen. We removed the ice by using a blow dryer then poured boiling hot water onto the frozen drain hole. The frozen water in the drain pipe hole eventually melted and the water released into the defrosting drip pan at the bottom of the refrigerator. Problem solved. We no longer have water leaking into the refrigerator.
