How to reset bios password in lifebook ah531/gfo series

you need to force a bios clear. often you need to get the system to default into a bios setup to do this, if you have more than one memory stick installed try removing one an boot up. this should generate a bios error due to the memory size mismatch. If it doesn't, power back down, reinstall the simm and boot back up and see if this error will bring up a bios error and allow you into setup. If neither of these work, try removing the hard drive and power up. If none of these work, Fujitsu (the original mfg) played an obnoxious game and used an external software access bios config, and this will require an original disc to access.

BIOS on a Fujitsu C-Series LifeBook b> Resetting the BIOS system of a computer can help revitalize the computer's usage. Oftentimes computers are "broken" when they are misconfigured in the BIOS menu of the computer before it boots up. When the settings are improperly selected, the BIOS prevents the computer from working properly. To get the computer back up and running again, the BIOS needs to be reset. The Fujitsu LifeBook C2111 has its BIOS system located on the motherboard beneath the keyboard.

Turn the Fujitsu laptop over with the computer powered off. Remove the AC adapter and push the battery release latch in and pull the laptop battery out of the Fujitsu. Remove the screw holding the hard drive in place and slide the cover off of the laptop. Remove the two screws underneath the cover that holds the hard drive onto its bracket. Slide the hard drive out of the laptop. Turn the computer back over and lay the screen down so that it is parallel to the surface on which the laptop is resting. Remove the small screw above and to the left of the keyboard with the Phillips screwdriver. Push the keyboard toward the screen until it disengages. Fold the keyboard over the screen and rest it there with the keys facing the screen. You will now see the motherboard of the Fujitsu C2111. Locate the small, round lithium-ion battery on the motherboard and remove it. This is the BIOS battery that stores all of the settings and password of the BIOS when the computer loses power. Hold the power button in on the computer to drain the BIOS system and leave the battery out of the laptop for at least 30 minutes. Place the BIOS battery back into the motherboard and reattach the keyboard. Tighten the keyboard screw that you removed earlier, and turn the Fujitsu back over and reattach the hard drive along with the covers for the hard drive and RAM. Push the computer battery back into place and attach the power cable to the computer. Turn the Fujitsu back on and the BIOS menu will be reset.
or b> Start the computer and press the "F2" key while the system boots, if the computer is currently off. If already on, restart the computer and press the "F2" key while the system boots. The BIOS setup utility will appear. Press the right arrow on the keyboard and scroll over to the "Exit" tab. Press "Enter." A drop-down menu will appear. Scroll down to "Default Settings" using the down arrow key and press "Enter." A dialog box will appear, asking if you are sure you want to load the default settings. Scroll over and select "OK" using the arrow keys and press "Enter." All BIOS settings will reset to the default value. Scroll back to the "Exit" tab using the arrow keys and press "Enter." Scroll down and select "Save Changes and Power Off." Press "Enter." The computer will save the default BIOS settings and power down. Fujitsu Lifebook T Series b> Restart your Fujitsu Lifebook T Series computer. Press "F2" as soon as the computer starts booting. Enter your current BIOS password if prompted. Use your right arrow key to select the "Security" menu. Use your down arrow key to select the password you want to reset. Press "Enter" to select the password. Enter the current password when prompted. Enter your new password or a blank password if you want to clear the password. A blank password resets the BIOS password completely, meaning you do not have to enter a password to enter the BIOS or boot your computer. Press "Enter" to save your password settings.
Repeat the process if you have multiple passwords set. Press "F10" to save all settings and exit the BIOS.

I have a fujitsu e8110 series laptop (old one) and I need to get in to BIOS but I completely forgot the password. I have disconnected the CMOS battery for about 24hrs and no change, I have searched for...

To reset the BIOS password read the information from this link.

In your case I would suggest using Hiren's Boot CD as none of the others worked. There is a program called Kill CMOS which wipes the BIOS.

By mistake I changed my BIOS password., but I forgot it. My laptop computer is Fujitsu Lifebook series A3130 Please let me know How I do reset my BIOS security password.

To reset the BIOS password read the information from this link.

In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper and I wouldn't recommend doing it especially if it's under warranty.

Fujitsu amilo simens Pi1536 and Pi1556 bios password chip locatio

Hi ,
Replacing the existing BIOS chip with a new one you can buy from your specialized electronic shop or your computer supplier. It's a quick operation if the chip is inserted on a base and not soldered to the motherboard, otherwise you'll have to unsolder it and then put the new one. In this case would be more convenient to solder a base on which you'll then plug the new chip, in the eventuality that you'll have to change it again. If you can't find the BIOS chip specifically made for your motherboard, you should buy one of the same type (probably one of the ones shown above) and look in your motherboard manufacturer's website to see if there's the BIOS image to download. Then you should copy that image on the chip you bought with an EPROM programmer.

Important
Whether is the method you use, when you flash the BIOS not only the password, but also all the other configuration data will be reset to the factory defaults, so when you are booting for the first time after a BIOS flash, you should enter the CMOS configuration menu (as explained before) and fix up some things.
Also, when you boot Windows, it may happen that it finds some new device, because of the new configuration of the BIOS, in this case you'll probably need the Windows installation CD because Windows may ask you for some external files. If Windows doesn't see the CD-ROM try to eject and re-insert the CD-ROM again. If Windows can't find the CD-ROM drive and you set it properly from the BIOS config, just reboot with the reset key, and in the next run Windows should find it. However most files needed by the system while installing new hardware could also be found in C:WINDOWS, C:WINDOWSSYSTEM, or C:WINDOWSINF .
