I have a compaq cq61 laptop , before few days my laptop fan stopped working nd my laptop back side getting verry hot after using 30 minutes ..bt laptop nt getting shuts off bt laptop is getting verry slow .. plz help me how to fix this problem ..... thanks

make sure its not overheating. and fan blows, and fan is not packed in lint if the GPU chip overheats it can go nuts. all can,.
we run temp monitor program that lets me see all that.
but im not teaching that now.
this PC has an LED screen so is very good.
but if hit, they break easy, super easy. kids playing thowing things at the screen or dropped PC.

The pC has and external VGA jack to test the PC on any VGA desktop monitor.. (barrow one for a day)

sounds like power charger not working properly or cpu is bad. this will happen sometimes too. it will turn on stay for a few seconds and then power down to prevent damagel

Laptop needs cleaning! Only experienced technician should open laptop, clean cooler and change thermal paste. This will solve the problem and save laptop from serious damage.

I think your video chip on the laptop is acting up.
This is especially true if you have an NVidia graphics chip on your laptop. They have the propensity to over heat and causing the soldered joints to crack or become separated from the motherboard and causing major issues with the laptop's video and overall functionality. Unfortunately the only way to repair this would be to replace the motherboard or have the video chip serviced professionally, the cost would be about the same.

In the mean time, try to clean out the air vents and place the laptop on a cooling pad to see if that helps.

many sound come from hardware like fan sound, hard drive sound make sure where i come from if u cant make sure it you can go to service centre

Hi noam. It looks like a memory problem. Download a program called memtest. (it's a bootable CD). Restart the computer and boot from it. Do the test and verify you get no errors. yes big time need cpu fan to work and new greese big time turn it on hi on bios if u can also buy acooling pad on ebay labtop cooler pad keep it cool these so hot killed power chips in it now bad mobo least get that cooler on ebay ok
