Hello,
First, from the magicjack device copy the magicjack folder to a CD or to a floppy under an earlier version of windows, (Windows 7 does not recognize the quasi CD that is on the device). Be sure that the Magicjack device has been upgraded to the latest firmware. Start Windows 7 Plug in the Magicjack device. (The Windows 7 drivers will load). If a window for magicjack vista pops up ignore and close it. Be sure to be connected to the internet. Run the .exe file from the media that you placed the copy of the magicjack files on, or copy the files to your hard drive then run them. Magicjack will upgrade. After this you only need to click on the Magic Jack icon to activate the device (of course, have the device plugged in).
Like Magic! It works. Thanks

Old majic jack want to start new program

If you have an old Magic Jack, my 4 unit are 6 years old the company just really wants you to upgrade to a newer product no need to. Try removing Magic Jack completely from your tablet, restart unit, make sure to clean out all junk on tablet from Magic Jack you could try a program that cleans your tablet for you, but unless you know what to remove don't get technical just a standard clean up of old files, this is usually under apps, Magic Jack, then there will be a clear cash button, clear data, and uninstall.
Restart unit then do a fresh install of Magic Jacks new app for your type of tablet from Googles sight or Magic Jacks make sure if you have a Mac to install the Mac App and if you have an android tablet you install the Android App. This has been working for me. With the old Magic Jack you will need to do a fresh install when you get errors and crashes. I do it 2 or 3 times a year. Good Luck!!

How do I install my magic jack usb dongle and get it to work on my MS Surface running 8.1 RT

Your Magic Jack won't work on MS Surface with RT because Magic Jack is made to run on Windows. If you had Windows Pro 8.1 then it wouldn't be a problem. What you can do is install your Magic Jack to another computer. While you are away, you can remotely connect and control that computer (assuming you leave it on) with an App called Remote Desktop. This will let you hear the sound and use your mic from your tablet to make those calls. Good Luck.

Magic jack script keeps trying to download slowing my browser down

from my point of perspective, the best thing the do in your case is installing the magic jack script all over again. or what is it called ? I have no idea how far you know about pc software. how ever if this is the only problem you are going to be all right. I just installed windows 7 all over again not just because Skype was bugged at some point but also several other for example I explorer errors and bugs. how ever I would advice you to bring in a professional about this issue before you do anything radical unless you know what you are doing. in any case don't forget that when you install windows 7 home premium all over again that, the first thing to do is get your internet back online as soon as possible and get your motherboard drivers installed as soon as possible. after that let windows 7 do its updates in 1 step at the time. you will only need the important updates. at least that's my opinion. good luck and have a nice day.

The voice of the person talking to me over Magic Jack breaks up. It is as though the sound fades in and out making it impossible to understand what the person is saying.

magic jack can be a funny beast....on my quad core 10GHz AMD box under Windows 7 or XP, it 'll break up like crazy, but I built a 1.5GHz single core P4 under XP and it works flawlessly on it...so that box does nothing but the magic jack now. Yup, got a BIG phone box under the desk...lol...
