Hello,
If the paper jam and the toner lights are on, then the printer has an issue with the firmware on the formatter board.

Perform cold reset, if that does not resolve the issue, printer needs a formatter swap out or a repair.

Cold reset A cold reset also resets all the HP Jetdirect settings as well as the printer settings.
Use the following procedure to perform a cold reset.

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Press and hold the Go button.
  3. Turn the printer on, and continue to hold the Go button for at least 5 seconds, but not longer than 15 seconds. During this process, the Attention LED turns on.
  4. Release the Go button.
If both the Attention and the Ready LEDs turn on before you release the Go button, you must start the procedure again with step 1.
The printer's LEDs begin cycling. The cold-reset process runs until completion, and the printer returns to the ready state.

My printer is intermec PF8T i have i SAP program to print patient information but it cannot print the error is orange ligths was the error.

There are a few things to figure out here from a SAP basis administrator perspective these steps are common. Also I am just trying to help and with SAP there could be multiple solutions. Good luck.

Check SAP MarketPlace for SAP note: 1557674

Here are the steps taken from the SAP Community Network which might help. I would suggest reading the entire link as its informative. http://scn.sap.com/thread/1975158
Step:
run SPAD
to create an output device, choose Output Devices on the Devices/Server Tab
click on Display now you will be in Spool Administration window
click on Change button then Create tab will be appear, now you have to put the following information.
Under DeviceAttributees
put the Output Device name with shortname
Device Type: SAPWIN
Device class: Standards printer
you can put Model/Location/Message as per concern.
Under Access Method
Access Method: G
Host Printer: __default

(1) Choose "S: Print Using SAP Protocol" if a print server with SAPlpd or SAPsprint is used to print barcodes.
(2) Choose "F: Printing on Frontend Computer" if SAPlpd and SAP GUI are used together to print barcodes, SAP GUI sends print job to SAPlpd, SAPlpd is started automatically and forwards the print data stream to the Windows print manager.
(3) Choose "G: Frontend Printing with Control Tech", only SAP GUI is involved in printing barcodes, SAPlpd is not used.

Here are the Intermec drivers:

I swapped Photoconductors from 2 other 1710's; no go. Reset?

Problem
Dell 1700 printer prints out a page announcing that “the photoconductor has reached its useable life and it needs to be replaced for a new one”. You replace the photoconductor for a new one and the error light is still blinking and the printer keeps on printing the above mentioned page.
Solution
Steps to Reset the Photoconductor:
  1. Power off printer
  2. Open the front cover.
  3. Press the continue button; while pressing the continue button power on the printer and wait (still pressing the continue button) until the error led is solid, then release the continue button.
  4. Close the front door, all light should be solid.
  5. Wait until POST finishes.
  6. Press the Cancel button 4 times slowly, the toner led should be solid.
  7. Press the Continue button until all lights go up and down, then release; the Toner Low led is solid.
  8. Power off printer and then back on.
  9. Press continue button once, print a test page.
  10. Check the information about the photoconductor in test page, it should display an OK status.

Note: if these steps don’t work for the first time repeat three times. If still the steps don’t work, the printer needs to be replaced for a new one.

Brother HL 5250 red light flashing

I found this solution on the web-- Hope it helps.

The HL-2070N gets stuck in a toner end-of-life error condition. Perform the following to clear :
With paper loaded, new toner in,

Open front door
Turn off printer
While holding down the GO button, turn printer back on
When all four LEDs light up release GO button. All LEDs will turn off
Press the GO button 2 times. The 3 LEDs (toner, drum, paper) will light up solid
Press the GO button 5 times
Paper light will be blinking
At this point the toner end-of-life condition has been reset. Close front door.
BTW, I got this from Brother Support. Also, just a reminder, timing is important here so don't pause between button presses.

BROTHER HL-2040

I think the previous post applies to resetting the drum light after replacing the drum.

You need to reset the toner end-of-life condition.

  1. Open the Front cover
  2. Press and hold the GO button
  3. Power ON the printer while continuing to hold the GO button
  4. All 4 LED's will light up and then 3. Once the 3 LED's are lit, release the GO button
  5. Press the GO button 2 times. This will cause the
    LED's to light solid
  6. With the LED's lit solid, press the GO button 5 times
  7. At this point the Paper light should be blinking. Toner end-of-life has been reset
  8. Close the front cover.
