Sony KDF-42 WE655 TV. Replaced lamp and it now works; however sometimes when it is first turned on the audio and video quit for about a minute and the green light flashes. Then both sound and video...

You may have a bad ballast. Check to see if your lamp is lighting up through the back of your T.V. prior to the picture coming on. If it has done this since you bought it, it's probably the just the way the T.V. was designed. If it still comes on every time, it could also be a power supply issue, but nothing to stress about.

HELLO MY kdf-e55a20 tV IS NOT WORKING. THE GREEN LIGHT FLASHES 6 TIMES THEN IT FLASHES RED 6 TIMES

Hi,

The Standby/Power light of the TV blinks when there is any internal malfunction in the TV. The Lamp light blinks when the Lamp requires replacement.
The self-diagnostic function of the projection TV will cause the STANDBY light to blink or flash when the television detects an issue. The number of times the STANDBY light flashes corresponds to a specific issue. As per the two examples below, some of the issues may be resolved without the need for service.
If the power light flashes three times in sequence, the lamp cover is not securely attached. Reattach the lamp cover to resolve this issue.
If the STANDBY light flashes four times in sequence, the TV may be overheating. To resolve this issue, ensure that the back of the TV is well ventilated.
This indicates that there is some kind of audio problem with your set. If the flash sequence is not listed above or the light continues to flash, follow the steps below to perform a power reset:
Try the following steps to check if the issue can be resolved.
Turn off the television.
Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet.
Let the television remain without power for 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.

If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.

If the issue continues to occur, service may be required.

Try connecting the TV directly to a different wall outlet and check. If the issue persists, try power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue persists, then the TV requires service.

Problem for Sony Grand WEGA KDF-55WF655. Hello,

5 times Red LED blinks means Lamp Driver Error. (KDF-55WF655)
2 possible reasons, either Lamp is gone or Ballast Supply got bad.
Replace lamp first, in most cases it solved the problem.
How old is this TV and did you replaced lamp recently?
Thanks.

Sony KDF-E42A10 rear projection TV. Won't turn on.

Start by changing the lamp. If you got 5 years out of the old one, count your blessings, most folks only get three. The lamp is designed to be replaced by the consumer. Ebay will carry a replacement for you or you can get it directly from rivervalleyelectronics.net. They've got good prices. The lamp door is on the back. Its really easy, give it a shot.

Sony KDF-50WE655 will not power up. Red blight blinks 4 times

4 blinks shows problem either one or all 4 fans are not working AND internal temperature high error.

If you are familiar with TV repair and know basic electronics then unplug TV from AC outlet an take off back cover and check fans are running?
