Brand new out of the box Volitation 9053 wont take a charge. Charger never goes green to indicate full charge. At most I get 5-10 seconds of weak spin and then the red light on the ECS board flashes. Both exterior lights work. Voltage at the red/black plug in is 5 volts on a 7.4 volt 1300 mAh Bat. Any leads need to be reseated or could this be a bad ECS? Is is it possible I need to completely drop the battery to near zero volts and, like a NiCad, do a type of deep cycle?

  • If this is a brand new item out of the box, if this were my item, I would send it back for an exchange. The charger never turns green because the battery never gets a full charge. Because of that you won't get a 7.4volt reading out of the battery, Either the battery is not taking the charge or the charger is malfunctioning and not charging proper. The lights may work for a bit while the motor won't spin because a light takes far less voltage than turning a motor. Because you don't know if it is the battery or charger and it is new I have to suggest to take it back. The sooner the better. Messing with it will just void the warranty.

Regards, Tony

SOURCE: Brand new out of the box Volitation 9053 wont take

A 7.4 volt battery is two 3.7 volt Li-Po batteries in series. Battery has
expired, there is no saving it anymore in fact dangerous just having
around. Li-Po batteries are very sensitive to over charging and also
to being under charged, usually the device that's being operated by
this battery has a safety catch called a BLC (battery limit circut).
So battery won't drop below the safe voltage of about 20% of full
charge.
FYI Don't even mess with this battery anymore, replace it. When Li-Po
batteries blow up they have a VERY high temperature flash and can easily set a garage, house, ect on fire in a split second.
Have fun and be safe.

I have a brand new Ryobi kit put battery in the charger the red light goes on and the green light flashers on and off is this charging or should the green light go off until battery is charged.

When the battery is charged the green will be steady on and the red will go off. Flashing green is an indication that it is charging.

hope this helps?

THE BOTTOM ROTORS DO NOT SPIN

1) test the button for open or faulty. However clean it with contacts cleaner solvent.
2) Resolder any wires from the button by dry join.
3) Tight the wires from rotor and resolder the dry join from rotor and test again.
You must sure that batteries is FULL charged, otherwise put a new ONES HYBRID ALKALINES. VERY IMPORTANT
God bless you

My helicopter 9053 will not connect to my controller

The receiver is not binding to the transmitter. Make sure the batteries are in good shape in transmitter. I'm assuming it's a 2.4GHz radio frequency.
When you are about to fly, turn transmitter on first after 4-5 seconds turn
heli on or plug battery in on heli. In the manual there should be a page describing radio binding. It will describe on what gimbles to move and
in certain sequences to complete the process. When the light on transmitter stops flashing means the binding process is complete.
Hope this helps.

My 9053 lifts off fine goes left right and reverse. but it goes reverse also when i want to go forward . Tail rotor turns at what appears proper rpm. and it changes direction when i push stick from reverse...

I own this heli also. The problem is that the tail rotor does not apply enough push to tilt the heli forward. It is this forward pitch that moves the heli forward. Aside form buying a stronger tail motor, upgrading your battery etc, the only thing you can do id this:

Get a credit card, a pair of scissors and some tape. Cut a couple of strips from the credit card about 2 1/2 - 3 times wider thhan the tail rotor blades and the same length. Now tape the strips to the top of the tail rotor blades. Make sure you don't increase the length.

This will help a little by providing more air push when the tail rotor in engaged. Without some serious modding, this heli will never be great.

I have more fun flying my micro size syma helicopter in the garage then I have flying my volitation. If there is even the slightest breeze, the volitation will float in the direction of the breeze and will not fly against it.

if the blades are turning and it wont rise check the top blade turn with you hand and hold the lower gear if it spins its loose the clue inside dont hold the turn blades.
solution: get a small drill bit not to big and a drill at the middle of the shaft by the black part make a hole down to the metal shaft and a littel bit into the shaft know get a small screw that woul fir the hold you just made and in to the shaft and it will hold and wala its fixed
