Hi,

Tally 7.2 is not longer supported. You might need to upgrade to the newest version.
The only other suggestion is to see if you can run in XP Mode. This will depend upon your computer requirements.

Running Windows XP Mode requires:

1. Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate editions.
2. A computer capable of hardware virtualization. This means your computer has a central processing unit (CPU) with either Intel-VT or AMD-V virtualization features.
3. Virtualization features turned on in your computer's basic input/output system (BIOS).

To determine whether your computer's CPU is capable of hardware virtualization, go to the Windows XP Mode and Windows Virtual PC support website and download a utility that can check whether your Intel or AMD CPU is compatible.

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/support/configure-bios.aspx

To find your brand of processor so you can download the appropriate utility, click the Start button , right-click Computer, and then click Properties. Under System, next to Processor, you can see what type of CPU you have.

Even if your CPU can run Windows XP Mode, you might also need to turn on virtualization settings in your computer's BIOS. Procedures vary depending on the BIOS manufacturer. For more information, see BIOS: frequently asked questions.

Hi I have just updated my laptop to win 7 but i,m old fashion and still use Frontpage 98 yep I now old hey is there anyway I can get this to run on windows 7 or am i up for a new version

Like you I use Windows 7, and can tell you instantly that some older Microsoft programs do not work with Win 7, whilst some other ones do. If you have Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate you can try running Frontpage in Administrator and Windows XP compatibility mode.

Windows 7 Professional and Ultimate instructions:

A. Right Click on the Program name if installed (Could also try with install too if not installed)
B. Click on 'Properties'
C. Select 'Compatibility Mode'
D. Try using the different 'Compatibility Modes'. I would try 'Windows XP Service Pack 1' first, if this does not work, try 'Windows 98'
E. Click 'Apply' then 'OK'

F. Right click on the program name that you selected compatibility mode for above, and select "Run as Administrator"
G. Follow any further instructions

If this does not work, then it will probably be cheaper to find a used newer version on a site like eBay. Note that Frontpage 2002 has Windows 7 issues too, so please check out the following links.

Good Luck

Problems running with Windows 7 Ultimate

The program doesn't list that it is Win7 compatable (either on the package specs or Microsoft Compatability Center). Try right clicking on the install program and choose Properties. Then click on the Compatability Tab, put a check in the box "Run this program in the Compatability mode", choose Vista in the adjacent drop down box. Then right click on the installer and choose "Run as administrator". If this runs, great - have fun.

If it doesn't run, you have an alternative option since you hace Win7 Ultimate. Download and install the two programs that make up the XP mode from Microsoft; this will create a virtual computer that runs XP. Install this program inside that virtual computer. Have fun with the game.

I hope this helps.

I am using Win 7 32 bit and i can not get InDesing CS2 running any one know what i should do?Thanks

Hi,

InDesign CS2 might not be compatiblw with the Windows 7 operating system. and InDesign CS4 is compatible with the Windows 7 operating system. You can check the following link for reference:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Search.aspx?type=Software&s=InDesign%20CS2

However, you can install the program in Windows Vista compatibility mode.

1. Right click on the InDesign CS2 setup file and select properties.
2. Click on Compatibility tab nad check the box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select Widnows Vista operating system.
3. click on Apply and click on Ok.
4. Right click on InDesign CS2 and select "Run as Administrator" to start the installation.

3ds max autodesk is not opening in windows7 ultimate

some software my not be directly open in windows 7 yet, (like if u c, when u install AutoCad 2006 on Vista Ultimate u can't open it directly, 1st u have to right click on it then Run as Administrator, then it will be open and work) like this prob, i sure that u have to right click on the icon of ur software then run it as Administrator, i think it will open. and your problem will solve..
otherwise your version of 3DS Max is not compatible with Windows 7 and you have to install different version of Windows (Like Xp).
good luck.
