Fuji finepix f810 flash wont pop up when button pressed

fix the pop up flash,,,,select manual M operation,flash donot pop up.

Mine did the same thing. The problem in mine after extensive disassembly was the plastic had broken inside the flash where the pop up spring attaches.

This was a pretty extensive repair with full disassembly in my case, not for most people.

A workaround is to take a small rubber band, loop it over the top of the camera from the eyepiece for the viewfinder to the lobe in front of the flash. When you need flash, release the flasy and unhook the elastic fromt he front lobe and let it go under the raised flash unit and it will keep it up. If you case lets you, you can leave it that way. Not pretty but functional.

Low light level indicator.
Press the button on the left side of the flash that says "open" to pop the flash up.

This model does not have a manual flash pop up release, so if the flash is not needed, it won't pop up at all. Use the "flash" button on the back of the camera to set: fill, forced, disable, etc. flash settings.

try to pull it up to get it out and then choose the lightning button to activate flash....

I've had the same problem with my f810. I found the solution on a german photography forum:
while pressing the flashbutton with your thumb on the rearside of your camera, push on the body of the camera under the flash on the frontside with your index. try various positions of your index and you'll see: it will open!

The problem is the top RH edge of the Flash Assembly becoming stuck under the edge of the top side of the camera case in which it sits. Solution gently prize the flash housing to the left as viewed from the top of the camera case whilst the camera is in the take mode whilst pressing the flash button. When the flash assembly pops up file the RH edge of the flash assembly cover as viewed from the top with a fine swiss file. Take care not to get any filings in the camera. This will totally restore the flash operation to normal.

This just plain shouldn't happen. Call Fuji while your warranty is in effect, and have them fix or replace it.

The button to 'pop up' the flash is located just above the LCD display
