My maytag washing machine model lat9606age is Washing my clothes but has no spin cycle and leaves the Clothes dripping wet. I've had someone here to look at it and charged me $85 to tell me the hub seal or something needs to Be replaced and was going to cost another $450 not shore wether to pay for it to be repaired or just buy a new machine Can you please advise me Thankyou

Hi just read your posting.The only time the hub and seal needs to be replaced is when the machine is leaking.Is your machine leaking on the floor.If you have a leak then the water could be leaking water onto the belt making it slip therefore not spinning.I have done a few of these machines and the job will take about 1 to 2 hours.Can you reply back and let me know if your machine is leaking water.Could be all you need is a new belt.Looking forward to your reply.

    hi just read your posting.From the information in your last posting you said there is no water leakage.Is this correct?If it is then why is the service man going to change the hub and seal?I think you should call him and ask if the reason for quoting on a hub and seal kit is because of a leak.Please reply with additional information.Looking forward to your reply.

Front loading washers are notorious for not spinning the water out of a small load of clothes. This is because there is not enough clothes in the washer to balance the tub during the spin cycle.

Spins but laundry is still dripping wet
This happens to me sometimes. My washing machine doesn't drain right into the drain, I have a pipe coming out of the back of the machine that I have to hook into the kitchen sink myself to let the water drain out. My washing machine was still full and I realized that it was because my sink was a little blocked and so it was draining too slowly and leaving water in the machine. If there was too much water, it would sometimes help to put the machine on again or put it on a drain cycle. My machine doesn't have a spin cycle so it will just give your clothes an extra spin so I couldn't do that and my clothes would still come out dripping wet. I advise that you give them another spin before you take them out if possible! xxThe fact that the washing machine is spinning but not drying clothes shows that there is some problem with the outlet of water. The water outlet is blocked. You can check for the blockage yourself. Normally threads or other waste accumulate in the water outlet, and if possible you can remove it yourself. Otherwise call your washing machine's customer services center and ask them to send a repair man

Hi
For all washing machines irrespective of the make... Wollens and acryllic do NOT have a spin cycle as the same will damage the clothes....
In wollen and acryllic mode the machind is NOT supposed to go into a spin cycle and hence you get wet clothes.....
There is Nothing wrong with your machine.

Your drain pump has something lodged in it. Remove drain motor, open it up and inspect for obstruction. remove it then reassemble.retrywashing cycle.
