Greetings and thank you in advance for taking the time. Model is a Electrolux Frigidaire plmv168cc1. Today I pulled the door open somewhat quickly as a cup was boiling over (nothing affecting the appliance - just coffee). When I looked at the display it was blank. Unplugging the appliance and waiting did not solve the situation. The socket still provides power so it is not a house fuse issue. I used the manual website retrevo to download the manuals and exploded views; the troubleshooter was less than helpful. I am willing to crack it open however I am concerned about which part to look at for replacing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A) The fuse you change was the one on top just behind the control board? correct? Not the one on the door hinge side of the microwave. (as is is the Thermal cutout ) Then most likely took out the control board... i would also check the Capacitor and recifier let me know it this helped?

Sounds like either the latch assembly or hinges too loose to activate the micro switch. TIP: Go to the web and type www.partselect.com enter your model number then scoll down to your part. Click to enlarge exploded diagram on left. Veiw enlarged diagram at top of page. You can print the entire diagram for exact assembly by holding your pointer in the upper left hand corner of diagram.
