Printing streak

If the line is vertical on the print this is most likly not a print head issue. I would be more inclined to think there is a physical contaminant that might be "scoring" the print or scraping of the ink as the photo leaves the printer. Hold the print at an angle and shine a light on it to see if there is a difference to the surface of the print. Investigate the printer for obstructions and contamination. Pay particular attention to the feed mechanism.

How do i open a dell inspiron 519 tower to get to the motherboard

Hello,
The following steps will provide you information on how to open the case for the dell Inspiron 519 desktop computer you are requesting.

Step 1. Before you begin, you must ensure that you have unplugged the computer system from the electrical outlet along with all other cords. This will help ensure your safety to reduce the chance of electrical shock. It is important to remember that when working inside any electronic device that capacitors can hold an electrical charge for an extended period of time even when there is no power source directly connected to the system and can still cause an electrical shock.

Step 2. Lay the computer tower on it's side with the cover facing up.

The following picture is a good illustration to help guide you:
c6fe175.jpg

Numbered parts list and what they are
1. Is the computer cover.
2. Is the front side of the computer.
3. Are the two thumb screws you will need to remove.
4. Is the cover grip.

Step 3. You will need to loosen the two thumb screws that hold the case in place.

Step 4. Pull the cover grip directly towards the back of the computer in order to release the cover.

Step 5. Once the computer case is released, you should now be able to pull in an upward direction and completely remove the case to expose the internal components of the computer system.

Step 6. In order to replace the case, just follow the same steps in reverse order.

If you are planning to remove the motherboard, you will have to remove other internal hardware components before you can completely remove the motherboard.

The following link will provide you with a Manual for your computer system in pdf format. You can download and save this information to help answer any other questions you may have about your system or contact dell. I hope this helps solve your problem, please feel free to contact me if you need further assistance.

If you would not mind, please rate my help. I would greatly appreciate it, thank you.

When I print photos, they have uniform vertical streaks.

Issue: Banded or streaked prints
Solution: Change the Print Quality Settings (Windows)

Change the Print Quality Settings (Windows) The Quality setting controls how finely ink droplets are placed on the printed page. Depending on the type of paper being used a higher Print Quality setting does not always insure a better print. Print speed will decrease as the Print Quality setting is increased. Follow the instructions below to change the print quality settings in the Canon printer driver for the Windows operating system through a printing application.
  1. Click 'Properties' in the Print dialog box.

Note: Depending on the Application software, 'Properties' may be displayed as 'Preferences'.

  2. Set the desired print quality in the 'Print Quality' section.

  3. Select 'High', 'Standard', or 'Draft / Fast'.
To set more detailed print quality settings, follow this procedure:
  1. Select 'Custom' and click 'Set'.

  2. In the Set Print Quality dialog drag the slide bar from 'Fast' to 'Fine' to select the print quality.

    win_print_quality_slider.jpg

Note: There are five options in 'Quality'. However, selectable options are limited depending on the media type.

  3. Select 'Auto', 'Dither', or 'Diffusion' from the 'Halftoning' section.

Epson RX 595: Yellow streaks in black

In the printer settings, there is a button to switch to Advanced.

So, right click on the printer, select properties, click Advanced, then Printing Defaults, then there is your switch to Advanced button. That will reveal the tick box that says only use black.

My Canon i960 printer is printing red streaks on the pages

It's possible that the heads need to be replaced. That's one disadvantage to the printers that don't have the heads contained within the cartridge.
