When I power on my HP Officejet 4215 all-in-one printer I recieve a error code 0xfoaf8005 in the window of the printer and the green exclamation light is flashing. I have tried everything but nothing works.

This error code does not match anything that I can locate. I am wondering if it has something to do with the fax function. I think that you should go to this site and click on "talk to an online technician" It is a very easy way to get support for your product . since they are the manufacturers they will know more than I do without a manual or the machine in front of me. sorry to say you but the internal board is faulty .company itself is not reparing this fault.its better to buy new printer .as it is just a scrap material.

for the reviews why this is scrap click the link there are many like you facing this problem with no help from the company.

How to install my printer?

Can you confirm that it's an HP OfficeJet 4215 printer?
What OS and type of device (computer, phone, Mac, PC, Windows version, ...) are you trying to install it on?
How are you trying to install the printer?
How are you connecting the printer to your computer? (USB, network, Bluetooth, Ethernet, or ?)
Have you tried to install it, and if so, what happened? Exactly what error messages did you get?

HP officejet 4215 to print instead of fax

if you are using windows then go to control panel and go to printers(windows vista) or printers and faxes (windows xp) and then select the correct printer icon out of the two icons.. there will be two icons (for eg . officejet 4215 and officejet 4215 fax.. ) choose the one which doesnt says fax .

How do I recieve faxes?

make sure you are plugged into an analog phone line (not a multiline phone). second I would put a phone on that line and have someone call it to see if it rings through. Let me know what happens
