Started yesterday...turned tv on..stayed on for a minute or two...powered back off by itself and standby [green light] blinked and 29-32 times..then it powered itself up and it was fine...then the cycle keeps repeating itself
Wega Trinitron 34" would Turn off by itself . we could turn it back on but it would turn off again in 5 to 10 minutes then finally it would not come on at all. took back off to see if we could find a problem and clean the interior with vacuum. touch long tube that went from some electrical device to the top of the picture tube. it now it works like new cannot believe it.
I had the same problem and it costs 200.00 dollors for the lamp that bad

I have the same problem. A sony authorized repair man is coming by today to determine if the problem is covered by sony beyond their normal one year warranty. I will keep fixya advised of the results. chrismickey
woke up this morning and the tv will come on, stay on for a minute, then it goes off and the power / standby light blinks. after a minute or so, it comes back on, works fine for a minute, then does the ame thing over and over. anyone have any ideas?
