I have had the frigidaire FRS6LR5EM2 for about 2 years now and yesterday it just started heating up and will not cool at all. I took the back panel off to clean the condensor coils off but they weren't really dirty..... The compresor was mildly hot....I unplugged it for a little while and then plugged it back in and the line from the compressor got really cold for about 20 seconds, then warmed up again.... any ideas?

Re: Frigidaire not cooling off
You are more than likely having a freon issue. The problem sounds like a filter drier restriction. This could be a simple fix. It will require some indepth time.

unplug it if you can and let it set for 20 minutes, set the temp control where you want it and plug it in, wait a bit and see if it starts cooling. you can confuse these things if you turn it off and on rapidly or change the temp control up and down sporadically. The compressor has to take it's time to kick on after it has been shut off and then on again.
Do you have an amp meter? and volt meter. Are you sure that the compressor is getting power? The click may simply be a relay closing but no power. Check both sided of the relay. You will need to trace the power and make sure that the compressor is getting power. Then check the amps to see how much power it's pulling.
We ahve a two year old Frrigidaire Freezer. every year same time it seems to correct itself(?), like self defrosting etc, and takes a long time come back to its cooling level. This is made in brazil G series. Please help.
If it started to cool again the compressor was running. Check the condenser and make sure it is clean. Provide as much air movement through the garage as possible . 100 degrees is a high temperature to be operating a refrigerator in.
