SOURCE: hello I have a projector acer
The light signals that the lamp is inoperational. Since the bulb is brand new that leaves just one thing - the inverter board = the board that powers the bulb. Replacing it will be difficult and quite expensive: get some quotes before committing, you might find out it's more than what the projector is worth - on average it will cost you around $300.

Hi:
Acer chargers have a very short life time, in the past 2 years I had bought 2. Just buy a new one from amazon they're very inexpensive. Here's the link:

SOURCE: Did system restore on acer aspire 5532 and now it
Hello there and thank you for choosing fixya
This is a fairly common problem
Ok what you need to do is first turn off the laptop
then remove the battery from the laptop then after the battery is out
press and hold in on the power button for 45 seconds (this allows for the esd to be released)
Now get the power cord and plug it in *** NOT HE BATTERY YET***
NOW try to start up the computer it should start up ok now if so great let it boot fully then attempt to shut down normally then replace the battery and you should be ok
If not then immediately unplug the machine then you will have to try 1 of 3 things first is to remove all the memory and then see if it will start if so replace the memory 1 at a time then start up after each memory module has been installed you may find it wont boot with 1 of the memory modules if so that module may be bad ok?
Please try these things first let me know so i can proceed on if i have to
ok?
Best regards Mike
SOURCE: changed lamp and now turns
Hi, what you need to do is reset the lamp hours to get the red light to go if it is a new lamp. To do that plug in a source such as a laptop or dvd player. When the display from the laptop or picture comes up go into the menu and reset the lamp hours I had the same problem. Hope this works if not let me know.

Remove the battery and plug in the Cord/charger, will it boot? If no, try another Cord/Charger with the EXACT same power specs. Replace battery if necessary.
