Question about Durabrand DUR7 Portable DVD Player

Durabrand DUR-7 dvd player

Player plays in car on 12v adapter cord, but battery does not charge, input jack is marked DC in 9v or 12v car, does this player only charge via ac current, is there some sort of logic/protection looking for 9Vdc to prevent overcharge ??? and possibly any 115ac to 9Vdc charger will work???

The 12 volt car adapter only puts 9v to the dvd player. It is poorly marked. It really only runs on 9v. If you plug 12v into it it will smoke... thats what mine did.

Turn power red light comes on temporarily then goes off and unit does not work just received unit via ups

- It's an issue with the DC 9V 0,4A jack (Power Supply).
There is not a right connection with the middle part of the connector.
The male connector of the record player is designed much too small
(or the female one of the adapter much too large).
I have used a crimped ferrule opened a little with a nail before.
- or check the adapter: Output DC 9V 0.4 A Direct(!) Current not AC
- plus in the middle of the Jack
Good luck!

Where can I get 2 power cords fr a Colby V ZON TFDVD7006 player?

Looks like this is a discontinued item. Specs on the AC adapter are listed as:

The AC adapter operates on AC 100-240V ~50/60Hz (DC Out: 9V; DC
Current: 2.0A minimum

Your best, quickest bet is to check with a place like a Radio Shack who may have a universal adapter with the correct fittings to plug into your player.

How do I charge the philips mp3 player?

Connect the supplied AC/DC adapter/charger to the 5V DC jack on your hdd and the power supply. The AC power icon will indicate on display showing that the Jukebox is now adapter operated. It takes 4 hours to fully recharge the hdd and once the battery is recharged fully, the jukebox can play up to 10 hours of music on the move

The battery will not charge. The player was bought 10 mnths ago

Test the voltage at the end of the power supply cord. perhaps the cord is broken or the power supply is dead. The output voltage should be listed on the adapter or by the DC input jack on the unit.
