I know this may sound dumb but did you check the cd for scratches or fingerprints?
is this a cd that you burned from the computer? if so is it the correct type and in the correct format..
Sometimes when burning cd's on the computer depending on what software you are using if the bitrate is set to high (above 128Kbps) then the cd will not play on normal cd player
Also when burning cds on the computer the session must be closed completely before it can be played on a regular cd player

Try a brand new store bought type cd and see if it works if it still does not play then it is possible that the laser has somehow become "out of alignment" and that is too difficult to fix and better to be replaced

But by your description it sounds more like the cd is dirty or scratched

It is also possible that the stereo is wore out or malfunctioning

hope this info helps

Testimonial: "the feedback was fast, The disc was okay but the palyer hasn't been cleaned in a very long time. I'll try a different disc and run the cleaner too"

2009 Toyota Yaris. My cd player was playing but when I start the car again it stop and eject the disc but didn't want to take any cd disc after that.

Car CD Players get dusty from road grime. Buy a CD Cleaning Disc and run it is a couple of times. The laser that reads the tracks is much lower power, and if it can't read the whole tracking system, it ejects the CD. The cleaning disc has little brushes that cleans the optic lenses.

Cd player wont accept cds

There is nothing you can do to repair this, you must remove the deck and send it out for repair at a factory approved repair station.

Cd player won't work on my CFD-560

Hello
Insert a lens cleaning disc into the system, and play it at least three times, by eject it out and reinsert in each time. If it does not help you, the laser pickup unit of your Cd player should be replaced with same type and number. OK.

Error-99 shows on screen then turn system off

Error 99 is CD not up to speed. Either the CD is slipping, Defective CD, pickup is unable to read sectors and is either dirty pickup or pickup going bad.

Is it always the same CD you are playing? Is the CD smudged with finger prints or dirty? If not suspect the CD itself. This will require Repair or Replace, as E-99 is a classic malfunction & unit will need to be taken apart, "unless" there is a CD stuck in the Unit.

If you have loaded a Blank Cartridge & clicked Eject & found no extra CD, then you will need to have a Reputable Shop Repair Typically this is the Logic I.C. & / or the Servo Motor. Sometimes you can find the same Unit on E-Bay, Craigs List, etc for less than Repair

Changer Error Codes:
E-00: Poor Cable connection.
E-01: Magazine not properly set in changer.
E-02: No Disc in magazine.
E-03: CD does not have selected track number.
E-04: Disc is dirty, upside down or unreadable.
E-10: No data is recorded on the MD. The player plays the next disc automatically.
E-99: Changer malfunction, disc may be caught in machine or changer requires service.

Hope this helps. Your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Hi,
It sounds like you haven't followed the last step to the burning procedure. All you need to do once you've completed burning your disc is to Finalize the disc. Read below why you need to finalize as well as the steps to follow in order to finalize the disc.
Hope this helps ;)
How to Finalize Finalizing is writing the TOC (table of contents) on a disc so a CD player can recognize the number of tracks, the total time for each track, and their location on the disc. A recorded disc must be finalized to playback on a standard CD player. Once finalized a CD-R disc can be played on CD players that support CD-R playback. CD-RW discs can only be played on CD players that support CD-RW playback. Consult your CD player owner's manual to confirm supported formats. Finalizing is necessary to: • be able to play a recorded CD-R or CD-RW disc on a CD player • prevent further recording on a disc • avoid erasing tracks on a CD-RW disc • record text information onto a disc you record Notes: • A finalized CD-R disc can never be recorded onto again. • A finalized CD-RW disc can be unfinalized for more recording. • The CDR300 can play back unfinalized CD-R or CD-RW discs. • SYNC REC+FINAL mode automatically finalizes.
Here are the steps in order to Finalize your disk
1 Push Stop. The display shows the number of tracks and their total playing time. 2 Push FINALIZE. FINALIZE is displayed for about 3 seconds.
