Those are generic B.S. answers. The power switch is a flat tab that has two prongs on the rear side that interface a very small slide switch on the mother board. The mini slide switch has a plastic piece that sticks out about 3mm and the plastic part is unfortunately not very strong. the slide return spring may have become detached as well- this indicates major trauma to the slide switch in some way- and the repair is expensive because the parts are not readily available- hence the 400 price tag for a whole new board. Nowadays these tablets are dirt cheap. I'm guessing by how old this post is you have moved on to a newer tablet- if not I'll work with you to get it fixed- at a lot less as well.

Hi! I do understand that you are having the problem on the laptop turning on. Try another option, turn off laptop, remove cables and battery, press and hold power button for 10 secs. Reinsert the cables and battery on the laptop. Then turn it on. If the laptop did not turned on, remove the power cable and turned on the laptop. If still didn't, remove the battery and insert the power cable. If still did not work then check if there lights flashed on the laptop when turning it on. If still does not, then you need to contact the pc manufacturer for repair and possible replacement. Otherwise, if there is light on the laptop, then there might be a problem either the battery or the power cable itself. If there is light on the laptop but no power cable, most likely the monitor did not work simply because the battery works due to the fact that there is light on the laptop. On the other hand if there is light when plugging in the power cable on the laptop, then you need to check and insert another battery if it works. Otherwise you need to replace the battery...
