Hello,

The ialmnt5.sys file is a driver file for video cards. The best solution in this case is to reinstall the video driver.

Go to the manufacturer's support website to download the latest drivers for your device.

Here is the link for your laptop drivers : Satellite M55-S135 drivers.

Make sure to select the correct OS version to get compatible and working drivers.

Hope this helps.

System32 drivers ntfs sys

To resolve this problem, replace the missing or corrupted Ntfs.sys file:
  1. Use the Windows XP startup disks or the Windows XP CD to restart your computer.
  2. When the "Welcome to Setup" screen appears, press R to select the To repair a Windows XP installation using Recovery Console, press R option.
  3. Type the number of the Windows installation that you want to access from the Recovery Console, and then press ENTER.
  4. Type the administrator password when you are prompted, and then press ENTER. If no administrator password exists, just press ENTER.
  5. At the command prompt, type the following commands (press ENTER after each command):
  6. --->cd \windows\system32\drivers
    --->ren ntfs.sys ntfs.old
    Note This step renames the corrupted Ntfs.sys file to Ntfs.old. If the Ntfs.sys file is not found, the file is missing.
  7. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:copy cd:\i386\ntfs.sys drive:\windows\system32\drivers
    Where cd is the drive letter for the CD-ROM drive that contains the Windows XP CD, and drive is the drive where you installed Windows XP.
  8. Remove the Windows XP CD from your CD-ROM drive, type quit at a command prompt, and then press ENTER to quit the Recovery Console.
  9. Restart the computer.

Graphic driver problem

The Intel 852/855, 865G, and 945G video chipsets are integrated with numerous desktop, laptop, and server motherboards. Older versions of the drivers for these chipsets, often installed at the OEM factory, may conflict with patches or other drivers on each of Windows XP Home, XP Pro, and 2003 Server. Blue-screen-of-death and memory dump errors will result from running old versions of this driver. The text of these messages includes:
  • “DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL”
  • Driver conflict error: “ialmnt5.sys
  • DLL communication error: “ialmdev5.dll”
The error often occurs following Windows Service Pack upgrades, Windows Update installs, and the running of new video games. After the error appears it is usually possible to boot into safe-mode (restart and press F8 at the BIOS screen to start in safe-mode) to install the newest version of the driver. Download and install newest driver version from: http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/

I think your best bet will be to update every driver on your system and to try disabling advanced video features.

Or purchase a separate video card to install in your Windows 2003 server’s PCI or AGP slot and which already has drivers built for Windows 2003. Install that video card in the system and then disable the video Intel video chipset that is on your motherboard. (You can find closeout and refurbished video cards that might work well on sites like eBay or geeks.comno-web-bugs.gif)
