If the number you are trying to place on the emergency feature of your phone is a local number, i think you dont have to put the country code (if that makes it longer) but if the number you would like to put there is an international number, maybe it really won't let you.

Hi I have worked out most things on the phone but it doesn't store any numbers when someone calls, hence I cannot return the call if I miss it. Any ideas?

First you have to put the numbers used most often and the names that goes to those numbers in order to use that feature, other wise the numbers come up as unknown.
Hope that helps

When the key pad is locked the phone will call 911

Hiya,

This is a feature that all mobile phones, and some landline based cordless phones have. The reason being is that you should still be able to dial an emergency phone number even if the rest of the phones' facilities are not working. In otherwords, if you have a broken screen on your phone and you cannot see the display to unlock the phone, you can still dial 9-1-1 in order to get an emergency response. The idea behind this is to save life, limb and property. You may also find that 9-9-9 will work too (United Kingdom emergency services) and 1-1-2 which is the alternative for the UK emergency services. Obviously you should not be able to dial the emergency services in other countries from your location, but I certainly would not reccommend you try this!

Your only easy option to get around this is to turn your phone completely "off", but then; what happenns if you need it fast in an emergency? Also some very modern phones will still turn on and activate if an emergency phone number is dialled. Short of turning the phone off and taking the battery out, there is not a lot I would say you can do to get around it. Could you on the otherhand, ignore the fact that one day you or someone might need to use the emergency feature?

I am sorry in this very rare instance that I cannot find a cure for this particular problem, but that my friend, is something that every mobile phone manufacturer has decided is the best thing to include in design; and in this case I have to agree!

I hope that this is the fixya for you and that you never have to use this service in any way.

Take care and I hope you find a way to overcome your issue of the phone entering these numbers.

Yours sincerely

Oz

P.S.

Phone cover cases belt clips, handbag phone holders and also phone flaps that cover the keys are really your own solution that I can reccommend. Cost? couple of dollars from a store, check it out and hope it works for you!

Sir,

You can lock your phone manually or set the phone to
lock automatically whenever you turn it off.
To use a locked phone, you must enter the unlock
code. A locked phone still rings or vibrates for incoming
calls or messages, but you must unlock it to answer.
You can make emergency calls on your phone even when
it is locked (see page 68).
Locking Your Phone Manually

Find the Feature > Settings > Security
> Phone Lock > Lock Now

Unlocking Your Phone
Tip: Your phone’s unlock code is originally set to 1234.
Your service provider may reset the unlock code to the last

Setting Your Phone to Lock Automatically

off:

Find the Feature M> Settings > Security

1234, and the 6-digit security code is originally set to
000000. Your service provider may reset the unlock code
to the last 4 digits of your phone number before you
receive your phone.
Press To
1 keypad keys enter your unlock code
2 OK (+) unlock your phone
Find the Feature > Settings > Security

Master

Clear all user settings and entries
except SIM card information, erase all

user-entered information (including
phonebook and datebook entries) and
