I seem to have the same problem on my AEG diswasher where the pump keeps on running but brings no water in. After reading a few blogs, it seemed like the antiflood system was triggered. Moved it away from the wall to check and saw that a mouse ate my polystireen float while we were on holiday. How do I fix this?

    Hi Daniel,

Thank you for the reply. I only notice now that I had my heading as the wrong model dishwasher. Mine is in actual fact a AEG OKO Favorit 4020. I don't think the part that I'm referring to is the water inlet valve as it is located more to the middle of the base, and not where you connect the water inlet pipe. I was referring to the polistyrene block which rises when there is water @ the base of your machine and then activates the anti-flood switch. This polistyrene block was nibbled on by a mouse. After closer inspection last night I saw that the whole right side of the block was nibbled, not just the right lower corner, and this caused the polistyrene block to lift and push against the anti-flood switch. Anyway my quick fix was to insert a button between the polistyrene and the red/orange bracket which prevented the poylistyrene to push the anti-flood switch. And this morning I'm happy to say that I don't need to wash dishes, and the machine is functioning fine.

Hi

The polystyrene float you are referring is the water inlet valve where water hose is connected to. You would need to check & replace the water inlet valve. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Yeah that block is known as float and the switch that you are referring to is known as the float switch assembly

Diswasher water isn't draining?

It is most likely the drain pump. If the drain pump passes a tech's test ok, have the drain passage checked for clogs.

My AEG Lavamat 62810 keeps coming up with an error code E60. What is this?

On my AEG Lavamat 62810, when I turn on a wash cycle a motor (pump?) runs for 10–20 seconds then the machine switches off, with no error message. When this happened a few weeks agao running a drain cycle seemed to cure it; now the same thing happens on spin/drain/rinse cycles too. Any ideas?

Stainless Steel- LitchenAid diswasher will not star

This doe seem that the anti flood system has triggered. This device puts the machiene in pump out mode and shuts off the input water supply.
The device is a safety device that triggers once it detects a water leak (pipe / clamp) and consists of a polystireene float and micro switch at the floor of the washer. First check to see if the float has activated the micro switch and then dry the machiene floor and check for leaks.

AEG Favorite Compact 525. The pump runs continuously even when the on/off button is pressed. Tho only way to stop it is to turn the power off at the socket/plug. any ideas

This seems like the anti flood system (polystireen float / micro switch) at the base of the washer is triggered,\. This puts the washer in pump out mode and stops inlet of water via the inlet solinoid. Dry the water on the base and then check for any water leaks. (pipe leak)

We have had the same problem with clear glasswear with both Kenmore and Maytag diswashers, in fact any diswasher I have used. It seems to be a problem with diswasher soaps. Either try a different soap (continue using Jet Dry), or do what I do and periodically go over your glasswear with an SOS pad.

Water not pumping out and therefore no spinning occurs

Hi, just solved the same problem with our aeg lavamat w 1020. Try checking the filter tray (or port) at the bottom left-hand corner of your machine. This was our problem and as soon as the blockage was removed the machine could be pumped out. It appears to be running OK now.
